Re(10): Lead, follow, or Get out of the Way

Nothing you've said isn't part of the conventional thinking, repeated over and over. Personally, if I wanted to hear that over and over, I'd go to meetings and go to their Saturday covered dish dinners and make sure everybody takes their turn emptying the trash or washing the coffee pot.

Not putting you down for the life you've chosen on the periphery of alcoholism but I was glad to be away from it. Just once after I was away from it for awhile, I wnet back to tell em how I ended the fight without worrying about it, and the Book Thumpers and religious nuts didnt wanna hear it.

That you find comfort in their conventional thinking works for you. I'am much happier not having to worry about that addiction or listening every meeting to other's sad stories of failure.

It just remindmd me that mostly what people get from that is fear and negative thinking. I'm not big on hope. As Trump says, I like soldiers who WEREn"T POWS.

I feel the same way about going to talk about religion on Wednesdays and Sundays. Reliving their sins and repeating their salvation stories.

Some folks just need that level of structure in their lives. I hope you're not trying to convince me to go back to meetings but I just didn't find drunks, even dry ones, all that interesting. Like going to the VFW every Saturday night listening to old men exchange their military stories, or doxxers paste the same insult in here all time. I see no reward in hounding people how they should live their lives.
Talk about boring!
