Nahawi was forced to grind his teeth as the mare took her time to come to her senses. His large frame would shield her when the cat came again just as she turned on a dime to flee. His hind end rose up with powerful legs aiming at the cat with his ears pinned, hearing it running for him and this almost snow colored mare. She was lucky, he would give her that for when his hooves made purchase with the cat, a screaming yowl sounded as he finally bucked himself forward enough to slam his hind hooves onto the ground and shoot forward like fire was nipping at his hind end. He did not wish to be cat dinner of course.


Pulling himself forward, Nahawi did his best to follow this mare. Blood dripped from his neck and back, sprinkling the ground in its crimson glow. The cold wind that whipped about them made his body begin to grow cold as shock laced with the freezing breath of wind. His hooves stumbled many times over the frozen soil, but he never gave up. With his body running as fast as it could with a limping pace, Nahawi felt his blood begin to grow chilled on his fur when the mare finally drew up into a stop, her body sliding on the ground.


Forcing himself to stop, Nahawi did his best to stay upright. However, the stallion found himself losing purchase on the ground and his body falling to the side before he himself in his wounded glory slid past her on his side and farther into the forest before he slid up against a tree. Nahawi’s breath came in a grunt as the tree faintly shook with his body slamming into it. “Let's add insult to injury.” Came his pained voice, his back against the tree as he caught his breath and tried to stand. The key word there was try though for when he raised a hoof, it trembled and collapsed under his weight and he found himself stuck and at this mare's mercy
