Boss's Decree

For every brother you bring into the Lagoon, you may have a trinket of your own. I will not touch, barter, trade, or do anything with them. For every foal you create that lives here in the lagoon, you must win a battle or bring in a new brother.

If neither of these criteria are met, come them turning two and remaining in the lagoon, they are mine to do with as I see fit.

The Offspring

Briseis (Carthage x Clio)
Flynnrir (Garmr x Druna)
Gersemi (Garmr x Dior)
Gothic (Garmr x Dior)
Phaethon (Acid x Sabah)
Sadie (Abraxas x Mercy)

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Saphris stood quietly in the verdant jungle of the Lagoon. Around her, the thick and vibrant undergrowth showed only hints of the autumn season gracing the islands. The air along the coast was cooled by the lowering temperatures, but, here in the jungle, the air was still and humid. Beneath the heavy humidity lingered the traces of rot. Detritus from a few non-tropical species of foliage lay scattered in the undergrowth, slowly deteriorating back into the soil.

Summer's warmth lingered in the air. Yet Saphris felt as if the sun's heat had soaked into her pores, into her nerve endings. Her mother had warned the girl of the discomfort she might experience during her first heat. Naively, the blue dun maiden had thought that she could handle this initial rush of hormones, could master the instinctual drive to seek out a male. A part of the girl had even thought her mother was exaggerating the experience. Regardless, Saphris had thought she would have her mother to guide her through this.

The sabino mare moved as quietly as she could, stepping out of the small thicket and onto a path. By the look of it, the pathway was not a well-traveled one. Striking blue eyes peered either way down the path. She searched for one reason or another to decide the way she would go. After a few deliberations, Saphris took the way that seemed to head northeast. Perhaps, if the maiden was lucky, she could find a secret way out of the Lagoon. It was a fantasy, but it was one the fledgling mare was willing to let herself believe.. for the moment.

Quiet as a mouse, the mare made it nearly to the border with the Common before the scent of bachelor overtook her. Anxiety prickled the white-laced skin of her neck. Chewing on a dark lower lip, Saphris debated making a run for it. That was when she saw him.
