Tefnut of the Bay
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.
The bouquet was gorgeous to Tefnut, but she never chose the flowers for herself. Looking at them from where she stood, she held back the nervous shiver that wanted to race down her spine. Her heart galloped in her breast, begging to escape and be let free. She wanted so badly to reach forward and place the clover against Rethe’s muzzle. She wanted it to be known clearly she wanted Rethe to eat it, but she didn't act on her impulse.
Slowly twitching her ears, Tefnut looked as bashful as she felt when Rethe spoke for the first time. The exasperation had Tefnut feeling like a fool, but she never once recoiled or stepped back. She held herself strong and sure, waiting for everything to even out just a tad. She had to take a moment to fully breathe, but once she did a calm washed feather light over her skin. As the feeling cooled against her flesh, the dun watched as Rethe grabbed the bundle of flowers.
“I want to learn you.” Tefnut softly murmured around the clover. The sweetness of it had her wanted to chomp it down, but she didn't allow herself to ruin the pretty thing. Instead, she slowly reached forward and placed the item beside Rethe’s bouquet. She wouldn't force Rethe to eat it of course, but her cheeks flushed hotter under her red fur as her tail twitched with nerves.
“The… the clover is sweet like sugar.” She murmured, looking away for a moment before letting her gaze sweep back over to the dark maiden. “And… I want to know everything you'll let me. Your favorite flower. Favorite color, place, all of it.” Swallowing thickly, Tefnut tried to hide how she felt but failed. Her body was the equine equivalent of a teenage girl asking her gorgeous crush to senior prom. It was funny but also sad, considering she was a territory lead and raised by Lucifer.
