The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The fae’s honey orbs grew blacker as her pupils dilated, trying to accustom themselves to the darkness that lay within the cave in front of her. Why had she chosen to wander to this peculiar place, where rumors of the danger that lay within were abundant. Though the fae did not speak often, she listened to all that those who spoke talked about. Including these caverns. So why had the fae travelled here, out of all the places in Blossom Forest? Curiosity, in part. And in part, she had travelled here because her twin had left her. Hellene was not overly happy about Athene’s decision to join a pack, Athene knew, and so Hellene had stormed off to some area. She had yet to return… and Athene was a bit lonely. Okay, she was very lonely. And so she had decided that she needed either company or adventure. Due to her lack of friends in Blossom Forest aside from her sister, her fate had led her here. The fae’s mostly white plume swayed to and fro as she considered her options. Wait outside…alone… or enter the caverns and see what happens?

It was the temperature that she felt outside the caverns that made up her mind. The heat of the sun was nearly unbearable as it sat up in the sky, raining its hot beams of light upon her. Though the sky had started to be painted by a variety of colors, they didn’t do anything to cool the fae. She lifted one white forepaw and hesitated just a moment before entering the dark abyss before her. The fae’s steps were slow, but confident. As the darkness engulfed the fae, she felt a significant temperature, and the fae exhaled slowly, enjoying the cooler air. Her paws scratched at the rough cavernous floor, the texture so different from the soft soil and grass that had been lain outside of the entrance.

The fae’s nares closed off suddenly, as a musty, rotten scent drifted through her olfactories. The occasional soft sound of dripping water echoed throughout the cavern, and the fae’s twin towers tilted backward, unsure of the decision she had made. Still, her limbs propelled her forward, her honey gaze constantly flickering around, though the farther in she travelled, the more useless her sight became. The fae’s motion slowed, unsure of her footing, when suddenly she colliding with a form that was not a solid piece of rock – it had had fur and was warm… the fae scuttled backward a few steps, nearly tripping over her own footing. Her breathing was shallow and rapid for a few moments, but it slowed as she stood motionless and allowed her eyes to properly adjust to the darkness. And it was then that she saw that what she had bumped into was not the monster that was rumored to live here, but instead was a dark titan. The fae’s nose scruffled up as she wondered how she had been unaware of his presence, and came to the conclusion that the musty scent of the cavern had masked his scent. Athene tilted her cranium, and simply smiled in greeting.
