At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Lucien
I Think We All Must Have Gone Mad
--------------------------------------------------
The weather was getting hotter, and the male could definitely feel it's affect on him. The downside to his rather shaggy coat. Lucien was currently curled up in the roots of an ancient tree, the shade cooling him down only slightly. Still, it was better than nothing. He didn't like the heat, the way it burned away at his sensitive skin, like all those years ago when- he cut himself off abruptly. It didn't matter. That was the past now, somewhere he didn't need to live.

The masculin stood, stretching out his lean legs behind him. He was going to need to do a bit more if he wanted to keep from frying. At first, his paws had carried him towards Leisure Lake, and it's calm waters. However, his mind urged him to the falls, where he could wash sweat and dirt away from his pelt, and then easily dry off in the sunlight. At that, he changed his direction, breaking into a trot, banner waving out behind him. He knew these free-lands off by heart -he'd been here a while now- so he had no problem finding his way to his chosen destination.

Gushing waters against stone; that sound alone told the male that he was almost there. The rumbling in the ground was almost comforting, he couldn't help but think. He climbed the slope, deciding that the water at the top, where the stream followed down would probably be the cleanest drinking water. He could wash off afterwards. Lucien had navigated the steep path easily, his head eventually poking over the top, staring at the scene above the falls. Shock flitted across his gaze as he clambered up.

Lucien hadn't noticed the other scent when he had climbed or approached; the water and sounds had numbed his senses. There, at the top, drinking daintily from the liquid he had come here for was a very familiar wolf. Sure, she was older, but he'd recognise her anywhere. Approaching cautiously, he just continued staring in disbelief. It couldn't be...Could it? The black fae did look like her, smell like her...but why was there a pack scent on her? And more importantly, how did she get here?!

"Hello?" He murmured softly, now convinced her was dreaming. It'd probably scare the femme, but right now, he needed to know if it was true. If she was truly alive and well. Lucien's heart was racing erratically. Surely this was too good to be true.
