Pine, spruce and firs alike...

Rhae was a social wolf, and yet not. She enjoyed her solidarity, but enjoyed the presence of others. She was a contradiction, but it served her well. It kept some at bay, and some close at hand. But thus far, in this new land, she had yet to actually meet let alone speak to another, and get a reply. She had tried with that golden and silver toned female, but she had been brushed off and their attention had been drawn elsewhere. With a shrug, she had taken her own leave, and had been traveling for some days since. As she was aware of all that surrounded her, the sudden assault of wolverine scent had her slowing down her steady trot. She knew better than to mingle with a more than likely agressive animal, and so gracefully changed her direction. That was when she heard muttered words, and caught the scent of another. With keen interest, she turned her bright teal gaze in the direction the sound and scent emenated from, changing her course once again in that general direction. She did not see him at first, for the night was dark and he happened to blend in well. But soon her keen vision honed in on his fourm, and she found herself approaching from off to his right side. The scent of the rose petals within the bush beside him mingled with his own male scent, and Rhae wondered vaugely if he had chosen the spot for any particular reason. She did not halt when she spoke out to him. "It is a lovely night for a stroll, is it not?" It wasn't until after she had spoken, her mellow, gravely voice coming out as not quite feminine, that she stopped about a meter from his position. She did not want to intimidate by invading his personal space, and at her solid height of 40 inches, some tended to shy away from her. But this stranger did not seem the type to be easily intimidated, at least not by first glance. He was laced with scars, and part of his left ear seemed to have been torn away. It gave leeway to the fact that he had to be experienced, and his posture and simple frame gave way to the fact that he was aged as well. He seemed someone that Rhae would take a liking to, but only time would tell her. And thus she waited, for any sort of response from him, whether that be good, or bad. |
