At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The journey to the cascades had been haphazardly travelled, due to both of their injuries. The femme felt a breath of relief when they finally reached them and were able to slip into their cool, relaxing waters. Though it had been painful when the waters first lapping at the openly bleeding wounds, the frigid waters quickly numbed her wounds so that if she didn't move, she was allowed moments of relief from pain. Her honey orbs travelled to the brute, really taking in his black pelt for the first time. His form slipped into the water as he had, though he entered in at a different palace than she had due to his tall frame no doubt. The Titan sat down in the eddy, and she watched as his muscles twitched as he entered. She had not been able to properly inspect his wound, but at least they had been able to wash it out in the clean running waters of the cascades.

You know a little about healing I hope?Athene's own gaze shifted to the water, looking at her reflection. Her cranium nodded, just slightly. She knew a good bit of herb lore, but only the most basic of plants. It had been her sister who had taught her. Though Hellene had many downfallings, including her obnoxiousness, stubbornness, and clumsy trip, she was very very intelligent and gentle, especially when it came to herblore and pups, respectively. Hellene wore all of her emotions on her paw, so to say. Everything from anger, to frustration, to adoration was clearly visible exactly whenever she felt it. But Athene was different from her sister. More subtle. Less emotional. More in control. The danger in the caverns had shaken her though, had brought out emotions within her. Had drawn her to the brute and caused her to share touch with him - an affectionate nuzzle. And that touch now had her brain wrapped up in a confused puzzle, lending to her silence.

Eventually her gaze raised to the titan, as if surprised to find him there. Silently, she exited the water, her pelt dripping and her limp much less significant. Whether the water had soothed it or if she merely no longer noticed the pain was not apparent. Her nares inhaled and led her to a few common herbs. Poppy. Moss. Another one that she recognized by sight, but her memory had long since forgotten its name. Her maw picked each of these up gently and brought them to the brute. If he had been in a small, blockaded pool, she would have had him bathe in the herbs, but instead she began to break up the bitter herbs in her maw. With her muzzle, she gestured toward the bank, for the brute to exit. She placed the poppy seeds in front of him and spoke a short phrase. "Eat."
