Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The first threads of dawn crept across Saw Tooth’s terrain, casting a red glow over all it struck, with long shadows stretching out beyond. The lands were bathed in a gentle glow as the last bands of night were swept away. As the sun peeked over the horizon, mostly hidden by the trees of the forest, the figure of a wolf stopped all movement and a golden gaze was covered by eyelids as her pupils tried to adjust to the new levels of light. Her pale grey coat, speckled with various whites and sprinkled with a couple of spots of darker grey, seemed to ripple as a breeze passed. She raised her head, still blinking against the light of the sun, and looked up to watch the last couple of stars being covered by the morning light.

Mae was lying in a soft patch of grass beneath a large tree, its branches spread like a large umbrella sheltering her from some of the harsher elements. She was sprawled peacefully, back legs shifted to the side but front legs positioned in front of her, paws flat on the grass. Her spine curved gradually around so that her tail lay sideways in the grass behind her. A small sigh escaped the femme’s maw before she yawned, still feeling the remains of sleep despite being awake for a while. She’d been feeling restless ever since her visit to Channing and her pups. Mae knew that at some point in the future she wanted a family of her own, but seeing a new mother with her young had made her think about it much more than she would otherwise. She was too inexperienced and young to be ready for a litter at the present, but one day she wished more than anything to be able to have her own.

Mae shook her head from those thoughts and decided to stand, knowing it was too early for most of the pack to be awake yet but that it was an acceptable time for her to start her own day. She shook her pelt, then leant forward into a deep stretch. The femme was pleased that she’d been getting to know more of the pack in the last few weeks, but the ache left from Terrel’s departure still troubled her. They’d agreed to meet, but she knew as soon as he’d left that his new life without the constrictions of a border would catch his interest and days would slip into weeks quicker than he thought. For her, the invisible line symbolised a security and belonging she’d always yearned for, yet he seemed to have been constricted by that. She was happy that he’d be able to make his own way, develop his personality and push aside the demons of his past, but that didn’t stop her wishing for his company, which she’d been able to seek whenever she wanted when he’d belonged to the pack.

The femme set off, East of the river and closer to the border than the centre of the terrain. Misty Mountain rose ahead, an ever present sight such that it went almost unnoticed. The sun touched its left, but was unable to reach the right and a sharp shadow was cast, leaving it in the dark and presumably cold. She’d never been so far North in Blossom Forest, but the idea of exploring the rough land alone was daunting. The wind turned, blowing into her face, and with it carried sounds from the North. Mae’s tracks faltered and she came to a dead halt, sure that there was something familiar in that. Ears straining, perked straight up, a small gasp escaped her maw as she realising what she was hearing; Terrel’s obvious call from the North-east, requesting her presence.

With an excited yip, the femme bounded straight for the source of the sound. She’d been thinking he’d forgotten about her and wasn’t sure what to do without him in her life; he’d quickly become the wolf she was closest to. The feeling was mixed, as she was happy that he must have found something in this new life that drew his attention from where he grew up, but had been worried about whether or not he was okay. The borders had been calm of late, so the Iota felt no qualms about temporarily dashing through them and straight for Rainbow Cliff, another place she’d only heard about in passing conversation but never actually been near.

The femme began the cliff, muscles straining as she bound gracefully up and across the gaps between boulders and scaled narrow treks left by other visited. She moved as fast as she could, eager to reach Terrel, to see the male once again. It took her a little time, but Mae eventually made it almost to the top. Panting heavily, she had to pause to catch her breathe to make sure she didn’t look a mess. She couldn’t explain why, but after not having seen him for a stretch of time, the femme wanted to look as presentable as possible. A few seconds later she made the last bound up to the top level, with a scrabble of her back claws scraping the rock. The distances were wide and having expelled most of her energy in the climb it was some effort to make the last few leaps that had led her to where she stood.

It was worth it, she realised immediately, as she laid eyes on the wolf whose call she’d been following. Ears perked and a shy smile slipping onto her face, Mae could barely contain her excitement in seeing Terrel again. The sun cast a gold glow across her face, making her eyes seem much larger than they were and highlighting the faint beige markings under her eyes and around her muzzle. Her heart seemed in her throat, nerves overtaking her at seeing him after so long and excitement barely contained. Her lithe frame trembled slightly as she hesitated, glancing over his familiar figure. Dashes of brown made his coat unmistakable and his scent, though it no longer contained that of Saw Tooth, was still mostly unchanged. “Terrel…” she near whispered in her gentle tone, unable to say anything else. She was torn between sparking a long conversation about what he’d been doing and how his old friends and family in Saw Tooth were, and simply running up to him and burying her face in the soft fur of his neck. Unable to make up her mind, she stood almost on tip toes and let out a small whine.

OOC: Souleh! <3 hope this is okay, think I rambled a bit but oh well :P
