Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The trees above stood silent watch as the wolf walked below them. His bulky black form stood in contrast to the greens of the late spring forest. His pawsteps were sure as he walked deeper into the woodlands. These lands were unfamiliar to him, but he had travelled through many unfamiliar places. Orion was a wanderer by nature, it was in his very blood it seemed. Since he had left his mother's den a couple years back, he had never stopped in his journey. He wasn't searching for anything, per say, but he couldn't ever imagine settling down. The yellow-eyed wolf often thought about how long it would be until he found a home, but somehow the thought was less than pleasant. Even when he was a pup he had the tendency to wander far away from his mother, much to her dismay.

Orion paused, looking up at the canopy of trees above him. A bird chirped somewhere off in the distance, and his ears flicked towards the sound for a moment, but it was less than interesting. He hadn't run into anyone in these new lands so far, and he wondered if he ever would. Deserted territories were certainly not uncommon, after all. He had sometimes gone months without meeting another soul, except for prey. It may be a lonely life, but he wouldn't have it any other way. Orion was fairly confident that he had been born to lead a life of wandering, and though at times he briefly wondered otherwise, though that feeling was soon squashed down. In the back of his mind he always would wonder what would have happened had he stayed with his mother, but the past was the past, and it wasn't worth dwelling on.

The heavyset black wolf twitched his ears before continuing to walk through the forest, glancing around every so often. Time would tell if this was an interesting place he had found himself in.
