Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

This isn't how I planned my return to Moladian to I've got to get through the field to get to Iromar anyway. I'm tugging my prize behind me, one elk skull. I'm still mad about the second one. I managed to get it but I was trying to make it over a ravine and accidently dropped the second one. It fell down below and cracked, which flawed it in my opinion so I left it. Now I owe Andras one more for good measure. He gave me this pack task a year ago and I know it's late and I'm not expecting him to hand me over the rank I wanted. I plan on using the task to show him that I never forgot and that I still want a place in his pack. Think of it as my forgive me gift for leaving. I never really planned to but it just happened. I was patrolling the borders one day and got a sudden urge to see what's on the other side and once I left the pack lands, I couldn't think of a good enough reason to go back so I just kept walking.

I saw a lot of interesting things on my adventure and I learned some handy fighting moves that I hope will come in handy when I try to prove to Andras that I can be a warrior for the pack. Maybe I'll spar with someone now that I'm back so I can learn even more. Once I got a taste of combat, I didn't want to stop. I sparred with wolves my own age so it wasn't so outmatched but I did take some tips from older wolves too. I've got a few scars to decorate my hide with now but I wear them with pride. I'm no longer the cocky little girl who couldn't back up her bluffs. I know I've got a lot more to learn but I plan on doing just that now that I'm back. Andras had better be ready for it.

When I see the herd of elk running by, I narrow my eyes in determination. If I can just catch one of those, I can get my second skull and be done with this. When I see some wolves already chasing, I jump on in, rushing up to nip at the heels of a young bull that's hanging out near the back of the pack. I think he's either wounded or tired cause he's running with a slight limp to his back leg so I target that leg, snapping my powerful jaws at it to try to catch the hock and tear it to the side to bring him down or cripple him more.
