Fate spoke in many different ways. And perhaps it was Fate that had led Lucero to be late in his departure for Taviora. And also perhaps was it Zelly's claim to live in Asteraia that kept him here. Maybe she and he were all apart of Fate's grand scheme, but the young Son of Asteraia could not be certain. Only could he be certain that he liked and enjoyed Zelly immensely, as much as if not more than his own family. She never failed to bring a smile to his features and warmth to his chest, and this he would covet and cherish forever. And he was so very certain she felt the same, with simply warmed him to the brim.
This day though tugs at another and completely seperate part of him. There is something of fright there that is not his own, and it is mixed with his own surprise for up until now, he had not known she was even there. Greer was the wolf that was now on mind, Lucero's own imprint, though unlike his parents, heart and soul were two completely seperate things for him. Iblis and Rhae were fortunate enough to hose both for one another, though he did not entirely mind the fact that he did not. He liked Zelly for who she was and how he felt around her, though he could not deny the need to protect his soul. Which was why fleet and swift paws carried him quickly upon the scene of the bloody bear and wolves- three of them actively acting while the rest were moving away. His Mother was there already, acting as she should, though where Greer was Lucero did not know. But he did not waste time in looking.
The bear is large but with enough wolves they might be able to take care of it. But by the looks of it, the young wolf did not know if all would pull through. That did not mean that they couldn't damn well try. While he would like nothing more than to kill the beast himself, he was wise enough to knew he hardly stood a chance. His strength lay in speed and agility, and while it was his normal tactic to slash and dash, there was opportunity where there wouldn't else be. With the red brother on top, even with his own life in peril he still fought- and either dark wolf at an arm in controlling the front claws, Lucero was quick to close the distance and steady his aim. The bears mouth was full, so he took the chance to bite and savage the eyes and face in general as much as he could. If he could blind him he would, and his grip gradually made way to the top of the beasts muzzle, if only to try and loosen the grip he had upon the red wolves skull. It was futile Lucero knew, but it was the closest spot his could reach without swinging around the other wolves to make for the side or belly. If needed he would tear and rip into wherever was needed, but at this point there was so much blood that lives had to be tiring of their straining existence. Soon lights would be snuffed out, and the dead would litter Asteraia for the first time in such a way.
