Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

His shoulder aches, something that hadn't occurred to him right off. The initial strike had been painful but the sting of it did not happen right off. Perhaps he had been too distracted, with too much adrenaline in his system to keep him from slowing down from it at the start. But it does start to creep in the more he moves. By this time he had at least gotten at the seal pup's face, and that was something that slowed the seal pup down as far as he could tell. But the stumbling from the blow the pup gave him.. that was when the shoulder that had gotten hit but the tusk really set in to him. He was sore when he grabbed at the back end of the bull seal to distract it, and limping by the time he had let go to try for the pup again.

A trickle of blood was running down his leg from the cut on his shoulder, matting into his fur in a most uncomfortable way. Every move of his leg was jarring to the wound, but as he watches Tristan making the final blows to the seal pup, Solitaire's spirits were lifted in the fact that they had done it, they had won this one. It had been quite a fight to do so, and Solitaire felt proud that they had done it, gotten the pup down while dodging the enraged bull seal. Solitaire was wary when the bull seal bluff-charged at them, and he moved slowly over to the pup seal to grab into the blubbery underskin of it to help Tristan drag it off. He knows it'll be a slower process with his injury, but he tries his best anyway.

And Solitaire was concerned as to if Tristan gained any real injuries that might hinder his brother, though he knows he must focus on dragging the seal pup away from the rest of the seals before he can give any attention to Tristan to better assess the wound situation. At least Tristan was pulling the pup well enough, so that was a good thing. Solitaire kept that in mind as he countinued to drag at the pup, groaning a little at the heft of the creature. Once they finally were wherever Tristan pointed out was a place to stop (if only just to rest a moment), Solitaire turned a fervid stare at his brother, looking the male over to see what injuries may have been gained from the battle with the bull seal.
