The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He had wandered away from Glorall, feeling more bold in doing so. He had shown that he could be a valued part of the pack, even if he hadn't been able to do the task the way he'd wanted to. Still, he had hoped to find that one female again. She'd been a rogue as far as his nose could tell, so he had wanted to see if she would give Glorall a chance. No such luck yet, but Solitaire would still go out and about. Perhaps he would eventually find her, but perhaps he would not. The entire thing was weird to him, anyway. What's more, the place he had wanted was no longer an option as it was filled, so Solitaire no longer wanted it so badly. Pehaps he was better suited for something else.

Which was why he had decided to go for witch. Sure, it was a little out there and maybe a little female-minded in the pack, but Solitaire didn't mind that too much. He had been taking time to learn about herbs and so forth, wanting to be able to help those who were sick and injured within the pack. It was a good calling for him, and so he wanted to take to it. So, feeling bold and having purpose, Solitaire went out in search of certain plantlife. The grotto was his idea for the possiblities of mosses and other plants that liked that kind of enviornment. There were types of water-laden leaves that could be found in caves with water, too, which could be of some use, he thinks.

That was why he had started through the tunnels, pulling with him a slightly hollowed log. It was within that he could store the herbs and mosses and whatever else was there to take, but it did make such an awful noise in the echoing tunnels of the grotto. Grating, but Solitaire pressed on. It was when he was scraping off moss from a wall that he heard the sounds of someone else coming closer to his spot, and his paused, listening before setting what moss he had gathered into the log and then starting towards where the sounds were coming from. Who could that be, he wondered? And what would they be up to down here? "Hello?" He called out, still walking slowly in that direction.
