Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Solitaire seems much happier knowing what he wants to do for the pack now and I couldn't be more proud for him. He grins and chuckles at my curiosity over the log. He tells me that it's to help carry around his plants and stuff and I tilt my head. I look again at the log and shrug lightly. "I guess you'll definitely build some muscles dragging that thing around." I smirk. "Maybe I should borrow it a little to gain some muscle myself." I'm just joking with him of course but I am interested in doing something with my life at some point. I guess I need to seek out Eden eventually but I wish there was some way to prove what I want without just asking for it. I was waiting for new wolves to show up, someone for me to socialize with and convince to stay, someone I can use to show my skills in, well, talking.

I can see Solitaire inspecting the wound and I follow his gaze. He looks worried. Does that mean I should be too? He tells me it might sting and says he wants to put a paste on it to draw the infection out. I nod along in agreement. I trust him so if that's what he says it needs then that's what it needs. "I'm willing to try." I watch as he goes to find the paste, sitting down to watch with interest as he chews up a bunch of stuff. "How does it taste?" I ask with a pinched nose. Surely medicinal plants can't taste good. I stand perfectly still though while he applies the paste to my wound. I clench my jaw, determined not to show pain. It actually doesn't feel that bad, just a slight sort of pressure when he touches it. As he stands back, I grin. "Thanks, bro. You're a life saver." I give him a playful wink. "So...want to fish or something today? I understand if you're busy." I know that he's on the move in the ranks and he might have more wolves to visit today so I won't be offended if he's got to go.
