Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

edrick - four - loner - heart & soul

Edrick ran. It was a passion of his, the way his muscles pulled and stretched. Honestly it wasn't like he would ever be a racer like some of the slender wolves he had seen but that didn't make it any less appealing. Besides, being a runner meant that he had a better chance of getting out of sticky situations if necessary. Some preferred to fight in life and while Edrick wasn't above fighting - he was a boy, after all - running was just as good of an option when one was outmatched. He didn't plan to get maimed like some of the wolves he had seen around here, missing tails and ears and eyeballs. It was, frankly, disturbing. What was even more disturbing were the rumors of cannibals in the area, intent on fleshing out the weak and literally FLESHING them. As in consuming their gamey meat after they killed them. What in the world! The idea is fascinating in a revolting way to Edrick - he can't get past the idea of even wanting to gnaw on another person.

Still, Edrick was rash. He felt that the fates smiled upon him even while they had frowned upon his family. Brothers dead or maimed or missing and parents... well, he had no idea where they were because he, too, had left. Now he was back and he hadn't figured out if he wanted to seek them out again or not. The lazy days of summer were over and fall was a much more hurried affair. Deer drifted to and fro with purpose, grazing until their bellies were swollen and chipmunks raced from one tree to the next in search of winter stashes.

Edrick trots along with a chipper gait, ears pricked then falling back to catch new sounds behind him. A few times he chases after the creatures nearby with a goofy grin on his face that is very much boyish and somewhat snide. All he wanted to do was watch them scatter and when they did he would flex his muscles in a proud way, as if exerting some force of nature against them. It wasn't real hunting, not yet anyways.

During one of those moments when he dashes towards a group of deer they scatter with flicking white tails and his pale lavender eyes widen as they spot a frolicking girl of chocolate and rust hue. She is lovely and lively, two things Edrick likes very much, and with a more self-satisfied grin he lopes towards her with his tail up, as if he is dominant and some alpha or something. "Do you eat my fairies, girl?" He demands with a low growl in his voice, trying to frighten her but also being playful about it.
