At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

The icy gaze penetrated her fur like fangs digging into her fur but after the momentary gaze into his portals the ashen ess knew he meant no harm. And her whispered words of thanks caused the brute to strain his ears, barely hearing the girls pathetic voice. The attempt to share the fish was denied with a gentle shake of the dark grey titans crown, “There is no need to share any of that with me, I fished it out so that you would have a snack to munch on when you awoke – you will need the food for the energy.” His words were minimally registering in her mind, and she nodded her head finally understanding what he was saying. Before she turned to finish the fish she felt his warm pelt start to pull away, each nerve of her body begged him to stay but she said nothing. Her yellow lantern eyes flashed a quiet, pained look as she started to hear the howls yet again but she wouldn’t close them in fear of seeing her father again. She finally took notice of the brute, not knowing his name yet, moving to her front side so they could see eye to eye. As he leaned in she felt his warm breath in her audit, “Besides, I am not a huge fan of fish anyway. I am more of a meat of the land man rather than a meat of the sea man.”

His large form shifted backwards giving her space to eat the fish he’d given her, which she continued to munch on. Each swallow becoming easier and easier as the moisture soaked into her aching mouth allowing her salivary glands to start keeping her mouth moist. Sebring’s ear perked up at the sound of his voice, “I hardly ever even fish, so you should feel lucky that I fished for you. Or, perhaps looking at it from the other spectrum, you should feel insulted. I mean… I won’t even eat fish, yet I make you eat it. How cruel can I be?” A weak smile made its way to her features, and a small laugh escaped her maw. It was a quiet laugh. She hadn’t laughed in years it seemed and even in her state the brujo made her giggle like a pup. It was a strange feeling to her, one that could almost be classified as unknown. She looked down her nose at the remains of the fish and then back to icy blue gaze only this time it was level with hers.

Sebring’s yellowish portals locked into his opposing blues, she seemed entranced almost but she was studying them. She was amazed by their strikingly bright look, so much hid behind them. But his voice filled her head again and she blinked trying to clear her mind, “And, by the way, I am Kalgalath. You are?” The question reminded Sebring that she didn’t know this brute from Lupis. She smiled at the name all the same, “I, uh..” She looked away, a small blush rising to her face. She could hardly speak, but why? She couldn’t figure it out, it could be her weakness? No, the fish had brought back enough of her strength to speak like a normal wolf. She looked back at Kalgalath, “I’m Sebring.” She couldn’t believe herself, her inept ability to say her own name.

“Do you mind if I ask how you got into this state? I have a healer back in my pack who can help take care of you…” Sebring took a side long glance back into the direction from whence she had run... the ash and smoke starting to cloud her senses again. She stood up took quickly trying to back away from the vision that was forming before her eyes, but her legs gave out in protest and she collapsed again whimpering softly, her eyes shut tightly. Her body tensed up as she watched a black body stalk her with crimson eyes. it’s not real… It’s Not Real… IT’S NOT REAL! She screamed at herself internally forcing herself to snap back into reality.

Her eyes snapped open revealing the icy fear that she was trapped in, but she quickly hid it from Kalgalath, hoping he hadn’t seen it. She stood up shakily, “I, well um… she stuttered and sputtered over her words. Her crown was progressively getting lower in shame and embaressment. “I guess I ran from reality until reality finally caught up with me…”

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
