Nakato
nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky |
It was the first time Nakato met one of the royal pups. She smiled pleasantly at the strange girl who smacked at the dead fish, questioning that its lifeless form didn’t move. The druid nodded, in response to the question. ”Yes, young one, it is dead. I asked for its life in return for my own.” She smiled at the strangeness of the child, who’s wide eyes and tilted head made her look so much like the Monster and Tobias. It was nice to see the children running about outside of the den. It was a sign that the pack was slowly growing in strength. It also made the healer have a strange thought she didn’t know she would ever had. It made her want a pup of her own to love and care for. She shook her head sharply, clearing the thought from her head, and returned her attention to the pup. ”My name is Nakato. What may I call you, Your Highness?” she asked formally. The pup was young, but she was still royalty and therefore, ranked above the bob-tailed she-wolf. Perhaps, it may not be the way things were done in Moladion, but in her homeland, the children of the alphas ranked almost as high as the alphas themselves. They seemed to stare at each other for a brief moment, each considering the other. Then, Nakato moved herself to allow more room for the girl to rest, if she wished. ”Come, sit with me. Tell me, what do you find so fascinating about that fish you’re playing with?” |
