Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The soft growl is the first clue that I'm not completely alone anymore. My tail swishes side to side, never truly believing myself to be in danger though you would think I'd be cowering in fear at the sound. Samia certainly would but fear seems to have skipped a generation in my case. The moment my nose finds the pebbles, piling them in front of the entrance, I hear the growling intensify and my nose twitches, trying to pick up a scent. That's when I call out, asking who's there and expecting a voice in answer but I get something else instead.

A blur of white and suddenly I'm on the ground, being pinned by none other than another pup, vaguely my own age and white in color. A girl, too. Her nose is just inches from my own and my ears flatten to my skull in answer, my lips twitching but I can't really see myself snapping at another pup, at least not without good reason. Is tackling me a good enough reason to bite a girl? I guess I'd have to ask dad before I attempt it. The moment she sees what she's done though, the girl's eyes widen like saucers and she stops growling, looking a little guilty if I do say so myself.

Then she answers as she steps back and I take the moment to right myself, shaking the dust from my coat as I swish my tail and scowl at her. "Really? You can't expect me to believe that now, can you?" I raise a brow daringly. I will admit, my pride's a little hurt. I got tackled by a girl, after all. She gives her name and then asks a question, though I note that she's blocking the entrance, not that I wanted to go inside anyway. I've spent far too much of my time inside a den to want to check out someone else's. "Just looking for stuff to do. I'm Thor. What about you? What do you want?"

I can't help but grin, hoping to confuse her or something by throwing the question back at her. My tail flicks behind me as my ears prick forward.
