During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

And I plan to be...

Nzingha had been madder than a wasp when Danger had left without a single word, convicted entirely of his complete and utter departure. So sure had she been that he was abandoning the pack - in one act, both the residual family from Bright Moon and the new one of Munashii Gekko - that she had become his stalker, being his shadow no matter where he went, and that was how she came to follow him out of the pack territory. Never had she been much of a traveler herself, sticking within the confines of Moondown Shadows as a pup until she was moved to Bright Moon, remaining for the most part within the boundaries there, and now she was here. Sure, there had been a period of time between Bright Moon and Munashii Gekko when she had explored with her father, but it had not been for fun - rather, it had been to search out any remaining Bright Moon pack members who may have fled. Summer wanted to be able to collect them, perhaps retaliate against the Bears... But there had been too few, and so the mission had changed - they had then wanted to inform them of where they were heading: Munashii. And though Nzingha vaguely remembered the trails they took, they had been well worn. In order to follow Danger, she had had to go where he went... And at the end of it all had nearly been swept away by the cascades, their current threatening to pull her to her death over the edge. Only by grasping onto a boulder had she been able to stop her downstream movement, and then it had been Danger who had saved her.

But the trip back home had been just as adventurous, seeing as she hardly remembered the way back home. But eventually, the pair had made it, they forms sweeping back over the boundary, once more safely within the pack. Nzingha had smiled, but then her facade had fallen, inhaling the scent of an intruder. One of the benefits of trailing Danger had been the swift memorization of the vast packlands and the scents of all of the pack members, be they active or not. And this... This was cologne of an unknown. It was much faded, perhaps a few days old... But near it was another sample of it that was fresher, and unlike the first, the latter entered the pack. It did not matter that it was accompanied by the Alphess' perfume... It was concerning. And then had come the telling call, a howl from the Alphess. Perhaps she was to introduce this stranger, this intruder. In truth, Nzingha did not want many more wolves to join the pack - she likely the quiet, the freedom to do as she wanted. But it was not her choice, it was not up to her. Rubbing her shoulder against Danger's own, she headed toward the center of the pack, where the call had come from. Never had Horizon given them a tour, so although Nzingha was well acquainted with the layout of the land, she did not know where the Alphess was going to be holding the meeting. "Come on, Danger. Let's go see what had happened in our absence." While she was intrigued, part of her mind ws focused on their trip back to the pack. Because they had been in no rush, and because they had gotten lost, multiple nights had been spent together... And while nothing had happened between the two, Nzingha's heart had been roused to the first set of emotions in her teen hood - she had a crush.

The eboness travelled at his side quietly for the most part, keeping her nares to the ground to try to differentiate where the Alphess had travelled, until the hill came into her sights and Suns peered upon it and up at the wolves who were already there. Pausing a stride, she turned to face Danger. "Not a word to any about my... Misfortune. I will not have it know that I...was caught off guard." What she was saying in her head was that she would not have her one fear broadcasted to any. Summer already had his suscipicions about her fear of water... But Danger had seen it first hand. At least he had not been able to see the terrified facade that had come over her... The shame would have been unbearable... For Nzingha was a warrior, no warriors had no fear. "so just keep your mouth shut. Don't tell them about things they don't understand. They weren't there..." A soft smile graced her kissers as she thought about his valiant efforts to save her. "You were there..." The second set of word were hardly more than a murmur, an after thought that had never meant to slip from between her teeth.

Dark fur was pulled gently from her pelt as she slipped into the briar, kissers slipping open once more. "Close your eyes, Danger, unless you like prickers poking them." She did not know whether she was being helpful or annoying, but could not seem to be able to keep her mouth shut. After clearing the patch, she ascended the side of the hill and nodded at each of the wolves there, arriving just in time to hear Horizon's words. With a firm nod of her head, she focused her gaze upon the stranger. "My sentiments exactly..."
