Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

The forest of Abendrot had been a magnificent thing, though once tainted with dark deeds of the past, it was still a place full of life - wild and presently untamed by the likes of any wolf. The land had fascinated the obsidian male, intrigued him enough to draw him to it for a closer look. There was one wolf he encountered there; one who seemed to fancy the vacant land as well - enough so that he had begun to mark it with his scent to claim as his own. Harlow, on the other hand, was unsure exactly why he was there - he sought companionship but he was not sold on the idea that the ebony and ivory wolf was that company. Something told him that maybe he would be better off keeping the trees around him for company.

However something had happened since Harlow's arrival to Blossom Forest that made everything else seem trivial in comparison to that dilemma. Never before had he acknowledged or witnessed true evidence of magic in the world, except for some outlandish tales that he may have been told as a pup. So what happened was even more unexpected and unsettling to the male than had he been more enlightened. The felling of the grand trees and the shifting of the earth beneath his paws had been a terrifying experience, as it should rightly be for any creature. Abendrot was no more - instead it was now shrouded in a dense fog, making it difficult to distinguish the new features of the land surrounding him. But as he cautiously explored the changes, Harlow discovered that grass and shrubs replaced what was once trees, rocky ridges erupted at the foot of mountains that hadn't been there before, and he could not find the path he traveled only a short while before.

Forgetting the other wolf for the time being, the black phase male ventured warily into this new and changed world. Blossom Forest had been a new and foreign land to begin with before all this, so that helped matters none, but he could find nothing that he recognized. No familiar landmarks. Nothing. Harlow tred carefully, uncertain what to expect as he progressed further and further along, but maintained a steady and resolute pace following the lower ridges of the mountain chain. Eventually he was far from where he had started and the land seemed to change slightly again. High cliffs rose above him, overlooking the surrounding land. Saffron eyes study the rocks with some trepidation but the wolf had already made the decision to climb them. It would be no easy task but from their heights, he would be able to see for miles and, hopefully, get a better idea of what was going on.

Placing his nose to the ground, Harlow tested to see if he could find the path of another wolf or any other creature for that matter that would show him the best way to reach the peak of the cliffs...
