Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Matianak was mildly surprised by her skills in being friendly. Then again, the young woman did have a way with words. She was adapting quite readily to the situations warranted. It was because of that she did not lash out at Samia. Indeed, the thought of perhaps using other skills available to the pack's Witch intrigued her greatly.

Her tail swayed absently as she paused abruptly. A blur of motion out of the corner of her eye. Matianak's nose twitched as she set her gaze upon an unfamiliar pack member had chosen to approach her. The grey female's eyes narrowed slightly, but the scent was unmistakable. This was one of Triton's relatives. His father perhaps?

She inclined her head ever so slightly as he approached, choosing to give an introduction. To the point, he seemed. It wasn't a name she was familiar with, but then again, there was no way to know every wolf who ever resided in Glorall. Not yet at least, she told herself. "Matianak," the woman said in turn, tilting her head slightly as she looked over Thor. "You must be Triton's father. He speaks quite highly of you," she added with a smile. It was a guess based purely on scent alone. The man could have been the boy's uncle. But it felt like the right thing to say.
