At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Only You Are Life Among The Dead

The feathered femme was surprised at who she had recently found at the borders of Dierne Hrof. Khaleesi still remembered when she met Kalgalath, how her first impression had been fear until he showed her the softer side he had. Something that he showed her immediately. She had been a pup then, alone and lost and in need of help. At first the alpha thought she had been an adult trespassing into his pack, but once he realized she was a lone pup he had been nice and kind, helping her find a femme to adopt and raise her. Without Kalagalath she may never have found her mother or brother, and never had the wonderful upbringing she had. And surely she would not be the skilled healer she was now without Hellene to teach her everything that she knew. Khaleesi owed the old alpha everything, her life, her lifestyle, and her home. It had been a sad day when the brute announced he was leaving with his mate, that his father was dead and he needed to go take over the old pack. She understood why he had to leave, but it didn’t make it any easier. And others in the pack left too, and that had been even harder. Especially when her mother left. But she had learned how to live on her own and adjust to a new alpha. Since Aindreas was Kalagalth’s son it was easier to accept him. And she had become friends with him as she had with his father.

The femme had been ecstatic to see the larger male again, and had literally tackled him in an embrace. She only wished that he had come for happier reasons. His mate missing and a war with the vampires now inevitable was something that Khaleesi never imagined would happen, but here they were. She knew that other Tempests would go to help fight the creatures of the night, but she also was worried about some of the vampires…actually just one. Would Diosa show up to the war? Would she survive if she did? Would everyone think that Khaleesi was a traitor if she helped her vampire friend? Would she even be able to help her friend…or would she forced to watch her suffer? That thought scared her, and she hoped that it didn’t come to that. Khaleesi knew at this point that war was happening no matter what, she just prayed that Diosa did not show up to the fight and she didn’t need to worry about where her loyalties laid. But the snowy white femme would be at the battle regardless. Even though she was not the strongest fighter, she needed to be close by to help take care of the wounded. This was sure to be a bloody battle, and she didn’t want time or travel to be the reason that someone died. She would be right there to help heal anyone she could.

Gathering her supplies from her, as much as she could carry that was, she headed out of the pack to where Kalgalath would be calling his troops. She hoped that it was somewhere with lots of foliage to grab any supplies she might run out of. The trail to the male led her through plenty of foliage, and her green orbs looked left and right to take note of what was nearby as his scent grew stronger. When she approached she saw that she was not the first to arrive, Adara was there as well. Not only was she a Tempest and built to fight vampires, she was Kalgalath’s daughter. Large and well-muscled like her father, she was built for battle, even though her personality was not a fighter. Putting the herbs and other supplies she had carried down on the ground, separating them out so nothing would get mixed up, she turned to greet the two. "Kalgalath, Adara. I wish we were meeting on different terms, but it is still good to see you two.” Her green gaze normally bright and happy was somber as she waited for the inevitable to happen.
