and i knew your heart i couldn't win

She chuckles lightly, looking towards the dun stallion. "I enjoy a good challenge, you know. It keeps me going. I think I would like to make a deal with you." she pauses, allowing him time to accept or deny her proposal. "I think I would like to accept your offer, if it still stands. Give me until fall comes to prove myself - to you, me and the rest of the herd. I will do my best, and if my best isn't enough, then I want you to find someone who will do better than I." Again, she pauses, giving him ample time to consider. She becomes nervous that he will find her proposal ridiculous or foolish. "Does that sound like a fair deal?"

She feels his nose against her shoulder and the sensation brings a smile to Freya's lips. She reciprocates the action, reaching around to brush her velvety nose against his neck, a gentle sigh escaping her lungs. His words make her feel giddy - like a little filly with her crush. "I know. But I hope it was worth it. I hope we will be lucky enough to stay here for a long time." She watches him with icy blue eyes as he scans the field, obviously looking for someone or something. She becomes confused for a moment, until he speaks, mentioning the mare K1A1 again. Freya gives an understanding nod. "Well that's good. Perhaps one of these days I will join her. I would like to get to know all the others."

The golden mare looks out across the meadow, then back at Dögun, a sly smile appearing on her lips. "Do you think you can catch me?" It is the only warning she gives before she bolts off across the clearing at a gallop, squealing with delight. She kicks her heels up, a feeling of euphoria overtaking her. It has been such a long time since she has truly run and allowed herself to relax and act like a child again. She is always so busy with maintaining her ladylike composure, it feels relieving to be able to let loose for once. The golden-hued mare glances over her shoulder to see if Dögun is following, lips pulled back into a wide grin and blue eyes sparkling.

She comes to a stop on the opposite side of the field, sides heaving and nostrils flared as she tries to catch her breath. She turns her body to face Dögun, still grinning wildly. "It's been... so long... since... I've run... like that." she manages to say in between breaths, chuckling to herself. "It feels good."
