live life to the fullest

She hadn't noticed the other horses around the island missing, but then she didn't know a lot of other horses anyway. She really only knew Persephone and Evren from here. Of course, she hadn't seen much of Hannah or her family since before the war but she assumed her friend would have hid with her children to keep them out of harm's way. Perhaps they hadn't returned yet. And then there was Roheryn, but of course she'd seen him during the midst of the war when that Lagoon stallion dared to attack them for no reason. Her heart went out to the golden brown mare before her who seemed to be missing someone precious. She could only hope the mare would find who she sought and there would be a happy ending. The mare gave her name as Aponi and greeted Creed warmly.

That helped to relax the younger black mare, who smiled wider and let her ears prick forward attentively. The frown that pulled at Aponi's pretty features of course sobered her own expression. How could she be happy when the other mare was decidedly not? She said the stallion had left while she was sleeping and she was having trouble finding his scent. Creed's eyes widened in concern before her brow furrowed. "Maybe if we both check around the herd lands? Is there anywhere you haven't checked yet?" She felt she needed to do something to help, no matter how big or small. Then as if coaxed from her very thoughts, a familiar scent caught the arabian's attention and her head lifted, hope shining in her dark eyes as she turned her gaze toward the incoming paint stallion.

A soft whicker of greeting left her lips when she saw him, her eyes lighting up as her tail gave a gentle flick. She was glad to see Roheryn was okay after the war. He had scared her for a minute during that fight with the Lagoon stallion when the roan dared to go after his precious neck. When he said her name, she felt her skin ripple with pleasure. Just the way her name fell off his tongue was attractive. He was also a gentleman, though, so he greeted Aponi with a dip of his head and apologized for interrupting. He gave his name and said he was here to check up on Creed. Her eyes widened in surprise at the attention, not at all used to it. If she could blush, she would have been beet red at this moment so instead she just ducked her head a little, flustered for a second as she pricked her ears toward him. "I am well, thank you, Roheryn. I was shaken after the fight with that stallion, but otherwise, I'm okay. How are your wounds?"

She let her brown eyes sweep over his muscular frame in worry as she asked.
