Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

A loud, melevolent snarl errupted from the wide mouthed cave, amplified by it's resonate size. Next came the sound of shifting dirt, then the thud of something heavy falling to the ground within. "Akira, leave me be!" A red and white wolf pup skid out of the entrance to the den, sharp white claws digging into the ston to stop her. The white fringed tail gave a lash, white eybrows narrowing in some kind of rage. Masculine though the little wolf was, it was female. She lunged back toward the mouth of the cave, but didn't make it very far.

There was a growl as Akemi collided with her siser, slamming into her in mid-air. She was but a black and violet blur as she darted out of the den, paws before her. One black paw came clear across her sister's white cheek, gripping around Akira's face and pushing her downward into the ground. "I said STOP!" Violet jaws parted to bare teeth, black top of her nose wrinkled.

Akira rolled with the motion, returning to her feet in but a moment. She shook the dirt from her coat, fire hued eyes glaring at Akemi. What was within was a pur spite, something far worse than hatred could be. The deep orange of her muzzle parted in a wicked grin, ears flattening on her head. She leaned back on her paws, preparing to lunge yet again, but stopped mid-action.

Both pups' attention were grabbed by a voice that sounded very close. Akemi turned on her black paws, violet back and face shimmering brightly in the high sunlight, her matching violet eyes focused on the corner which the voices were coming from, ears perked forward. Akira's eyes narrowed, ears flattening back once more. With a soft snarl she continued her lunge and grabbed ahold of her sister's black and violet plume. Akemi spun around with a growl and caught her sister clear in the face, sending her sprawling back toward the cave to hit the entrance wall. Winded by the blow of the rocks, Akira was forced to pause once more, standing slowly snd deciding to just give it up for now. She mumbled to herself and walked beside her sister to stand about ten feet away.

Freedom's ears laid back on her head when she heard about the other pups. After being abandoned because her other siblings were more favorable, she wasn't sure she liked the idea of having any more than Nobody. The deep blue eyes looked to the ivory fem with some sadness, hoping that things wouldn't repeat themselves. She looked to Nobody, noticing his particular dislike for the situation as well.

The gold and black pup froze, hearing the scuffs, snarls, growls and thuds just around the corner. Voices were heard but she couldn't quite make them out. Walking out before Leoniah and her brother, Freedom rounded the corner tentatively, deep blue eyes catching the red and white and black and violet pups not too far away. They started back at her and she felt like shrinking away, but didn't.

Akemi sniffed at the gold and black head that rounded the corner, catching the unfamiliar scent of the other female pup. She knew it wasn't one of her siblings, but had heard her mother's voice with them and so thought it best to greet the other kindly. "Hi!" she said with a smile, black and violet tail giving a small wag behind her. "I'm Akemi.. You?"

"Don't belong here," Akira cut in before Freedom could answer, firey eyes narrowing and stepping forward a few paces. She stared the gold and black pup down, lifting her lip into a silent snarl. The ears lay flat on her head again, body crouching down low in threat.

Akemi snapped at Akira, grabbing her muzzle. The red and white pup pushed her sister away with a paw, but went silent, just continuing to glare at Freedom. Akemi spoke up, black and vilet plume wagging yet again. "That's not true," she said kindly. "Don't mind Akira, she's not very nice to anyone."

Freedom took a step closer, showing more of herself to the other two pups. The black trible marks seemed to make the gold base coat glow in the sunlight. The black outlined deep blue yes glanced at Akira, then focused on Akem. "I-I'm Freedom," she said a bit nervously, looking at Akira who only narrowed her eyes more.
