Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

There was no destination in mind for our white and black fellow. He wandered, his thought train was never ending, nor were his paws. Sure, he paused, every few nights to sleep. But he trusted no one, knew no one, so he slept briefly when he could find a secure enough place to hide and rest. That was a rare thing for our young man to find, but he did not worry. He had caught the scent of relatives once or twice, but never sought them out. He was an odd one, one who never made much sense and he would rather not be hassled and criticized by so called family. Eyes of dark azure scanned the horizon before him, so vast and wide. It was majestic and graceful at the same time. It held mystery, and yet, it's path was as clear as the written word.

Ramses watched, perched atop the edge of the mid-eastern crater, watching the wolves that congregated below him, feasting on the small bodies of the rabbits that made their way from the sleeping dens, only to be caught in the ruthless jaws of the monsters that he found himself categorized with. He sighed, a simple sound, yet it held so much meaning behind just a simple thing. It wouldn't be hard to misinterpret the feeling that he was expressing with the sigh. To some it may be taken as irritation, a forced and loud sigh that was clear as day as 'you're annoying, bugger off' but to him it was a sigh that meant he was lacking the patience to try and figure things out.

You see, Ramses is an inquisitive mind. Always thinking, always trying to put things into a scientific explanation, like hormones for example. He knew of this 'Imprinting' knew that it was some kind of thing that could not be broken, only by death. But he did not understand the fascination with it or who had come up with the whole thing. No, he did not believe in a god. He did not believe in such a thing as fate or destiny. He knew that the world was created by a big bang, some say meteor, some say explosion. He was not sure on which theory he believed in, but he knew that it was the true explanation on how the world came to be as it was.

The whole concept of things his mind believed in would take up much more than one simple thought. And right now, he was enjoying watching them scramble after the rabbits without much luck at times. One was wandering his way. A duo of two rabbits who were intent on escaping the massacre below, only to fall prey to his own jaws and paws when they got within reach. So he watched, eating his prey and enjoying the show below.

i can tell that something's not the same-------------cause we're both loosing at the loving game
