The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

It was probably almost evening, a couple hours before the sun was planning to set. It was a hot evening, the sun leaving nasty remarks on the land and its inhabitants. A hawk silently searched in the sky, still trying to find a meal before it flew off towards its nest to wait for another day to hunt. It probably wouldn’t find anything however; the evening was just too hot. Placed along rivers were occupied by wolves who were enjoying the liquid water as it rushed past and shared its coolness. Such wonderful evenings when a pair or some wolves decided to spend a day much too hot to really live and to sit and enjoy themselves, dipping into the water once in awhile to cool off their steaming pelts. It was such a fine day, the sky already showing hints of pink and orange, the clouds standing out against the pale canvass like, well, clouds in the sky. Perhaps nothing was on each of the lupines’ minds for the day that would follow this steamer. Not chances for the next hunt, not waiting to start their lifetime journey or travel to a place that they wanted to go to sooo badly. They were sitting and just being themselves in a land that was theirs; wonderful, if you ask me.

However, this was not true for all wolves of the type. Giant black paws littered the ground as they went in search of something that had seen a bit ago. Something was on this brute’s mind; he was searching for something, possibly. The brute’s pelt was black that was lightened with some hints of white and gray, though his basic color stayed in the classification field of dark. He had giant paws that ran in his family, and he found himself proud of it. Not only were his paws big, but the paws of that size fit normally on his body; the only explanation was that he was also giant. He stood taller than most males of his age, though some could be taller than him. However much his appearance intimidated wolves or animals of any kind, he was quite the kind wolf, defending anything with his life. He thought about his words and actions and took his life seriously. A guardian; yes, a guardian. He would guard people with his life if he thought that they deserved it. Right now, he was trying to make something happen.

A few weeks ago, the dark brute had been to Cavern of Secrets, his destination that was set on his map today. He had traveled into it and found one of his first friends; a feya named Sierra. After more weeks, the two of them concluded that they would join a pack together, and that indeed would be Bright Moon. She disappeared not to long ago, the brute still scared from her loss. Long story short, when the two of them had explored here, the brute had walked ahead as the pathway started to become thinner, and he wanted to put himself in front (being a guardian, once again). The inner cavern opened up into a large clearing, smokey and musty with the tinge of moisture. This place had intrigued the male, and he started to examine things about the place, his friend Sierra doing the same. At the back of the inner cavern, the male had found a small set of ‘cliffs’ jutting out from the wall. His interest was sparked, and he jumped from lift to lift to get to the top. The fae down below followed suit, but at a slower pace.

The brute had finally got to the top and started to look around for anything out of the ordinary, but Sierra had asked if they could go back down, the air up there to musty to breath in and to be doing exercise. He stayed at the top while she disappeared into the caverns below. How could he not go after her? They were friends then, and the place could have been filled with anything; monsters had been seen back in the deeper depths, and who knows if she would go all the way down there? He had to follow her, so he would be back to the staircase another day. The brute chose that day to be the day when the sun beat down against the earth very powerfully, when the thought of the loss of Sierra and the adventure that had gone on still fresh in his mind. He stopped at the edge of it, having travelled through the giant plain of Prey Plateau, knowing the cave was not far from there. His blue orbs looked the small entrance up and down, and smiled, showing a dagger or two. He was happy he was about to go into a place that would always be a memory inside him, Sierra or not. She had been a wonderful friend, and he felt that solving the tickle at the back of his neck would do the trick; yes, he was pretty sure it would.

He walked in slowly, trying to soak in the light before the darkness swallowed him whole. He sat in the first cavern and let his eyes adjust to the dim light before he smiled again, happy that the adventure that had been postponed so long ago was now continuing before his eyes.
