Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The entity had been wrapped in a hidden wall of solitary and he found no purpose for his days travelling. Terrel had started his venture with a sigh of relief but it had now seemed to have drained the excitement that had enfolded around his beating heart. He yearned for some sort of company but shied away when presented with an opportunity. How petty he must have seemed; dwelling upon his trivial issues when wolves were struggling with far worse. But Terrel found no sympathy for others at that moment; a heavy sorrow weighed down his heart so that he walked with a broken structure. Loneliness is a merciless creature; you could be enwrapped with the company of a hundred wolves but still feel broken, misguided… alone. Loneliness was a predator that sought the most vulnerable of characters and bit down upon their souls until their world shook and crumbled. Not long ago, Terrel had been in the company of others and the company of joy. But it wasn’t like a pack. In a pack, you could see them every day – in this land there was only a chance of encountering them again. And the chance, the hope, had not been held onto.

The motley brute had not seen Channing in many moons, or Mae. He was too frightened and ashamed to face his mother again for he had inflicted pain upon her. Even if it was only emotionally, he had still hurt her, and this fact shamed him. The pack was good to have accepted his leave. He missed Saw Tooth’s land but he had never felt as if he had belonged. They were a family and he was just the unknown friend glancing in. Mae had welcomed him of course…. Mae had supplied him with the friendship he longed for. And no else had had bothered to know him, Nova had disappeared – Channing had not spent time with him since a pup. And that hunting lesson she had promised? It had never arrived…

His limbs shifted underneath his curled up bodice, revealing themselves to slowly propel his multi-hued body into a standing position. His body swayed a few times, unfocused eyes gazing around the area around him; blinking sleepily. He needed a plan today… a plan… for today. His motley chest rose as he inhaled deeply, chocolate gazers glancing around the unmarked land. His legs stretched out, bones clicking quietly as his muscles contracted. “Mae,” he whispered to himself. The name sat upon his tongue like a savoured delicacy. Maybe it was time to meet up with her again – he did miss her…a lot.

His short venture took him to the rocky terrain of Rainbow Cliff, but he could see no rainbows only a cliff standing proud within the land. But no rainbow; it was too early for a rainbow… But it was perfect scene to meet Mae. The cliff was near to her kingdom, and if he could climb high enough she would be able to receive his howl clearly. And so many landmarks in Blossom Forest brought him memories that he wished not resurface. Of course, many places still withheld plenty of pleasant memories but with all happiness there is a certainly tinge of leech like sadness…

With a short sigh, he began his climb.

Terrel remembered that soon Channing would be forced to hand over one of her pups to Abendrot, as a part of a disgusting deal. Saw Tooth was supposed to receive a pup too… But how could Moth let that happen? You could argue that the kingdom was a better place but it had the genes of Kershov flowing through it. It only meant one thing – trouble. The soldier did not love or even like her offspring but he cared for them in the fact that they allowed his mother to be happy. So the fact that his mother was about to have her heart broken sickened him. How the hell could he be so cruel? Kershov may not have withheld any affection for his brats but that didn’t mean Channing did not love her pups! He had considered even joining the revolting kingdom to keep an eye on her pup but he doubted Kershov would have allowed him that ‘privilege.’ He didn’t know which pup was to be sent; he didn’t know their names but then again he felt no need to know. Terrel knew it would be best if he paid Channing a visit to let her know that he was still thinking about her… Maybe she didn’t care. He wasn’t her flesh and blood; he was just a scrawny pup she had happened to discover.

A growl propelled sharply from beneath his closed maw. When he glanced down he discovered the sharp pain in his paw was caused by his careless footing knocking against a rock. And then, with a jolt he realised that he stood upon a higher ledge; time to send out his invitation… His climb had not taken him long and now dawn had approached; sending weak rays of sunlight casting over the dimness. Terrel could only hope she was not sleeping, he wished not for her to be disturbed.

He raised his jaw to the heavens; releasing a short howl. It held no emotion but was clear that it was directed only towards dear Mae. Terrel’s gaze turned towards the floor, where through the cracks a gentle, yellow flower sprouted. All alone but somehow so positive…

'revolutionaries wait
for my head on a silver plate
just a puppet on a lonely string
oh who would ever want to be king?'

readers note;; terrel is an unsual character, disorientated from a broken background. he is gentle and kind, though wary towards brutes above the age of two years. when older he will be less confused and more sure of himself, he will gain confidence and go on to raise a treasured family...
