Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Watch me fall above like a vicious dove

ISTAS

They don't see me coming, who can blame them?

He stood a bit nervous as the brute seemingly moved at the sound of his haunted approach. Istas was so light and silent he was like a ghost over the lands. His light weight and heavily furred paws assured him of that. The boy’s long legs trembled slightly as he stood before the resting figure for a moment, waiting for him to look up and likely immediately notice his pure white eyes that were such an oddity in the lands of Moladion, probably all the world to be honest. He sat up and Istas just waited watching with bated breath as finally the red eyes began looking over his slender, though it didn’t look so with is long curly fur, finally setting upon his eyes where curiosity set in. How could it not? It was perhaps largest disadvantage to his whole spy business.

It came up nearly immediately and Istas wasn’t surprised, Renegade was sharp, he had proven that upon their last meeting and Istas didn’t have a doubt in his mind that even if he did lie that eventually the red and white brute wouldn’t see through it. The shorter male gave him a hard look before shooting him a toothy grin that only led to the boy’s heart pounding in his chest. This wouldn’t lead to anything, no matter what advances he had made on any male they always shot him down sometimes even hurting him and Naberius he wasn’t aware really he let Istas close but the white boy never thought he knew what it truly meant.

”Here?” So what he waiting for him? No, not him. Istas chided himself. Never. Never was who Renegade was waiting for, who he wanted. He must have really liked her. His heart fell slightly, perhaps he should leave and find him later? At least then he got the attention he so desired but he continued smiling, Renegade did, and gave a tilt of his head and Istas mirrored it slightly. His heart stopped tough as the handsome male continued though.

Again, it wasn’t like he was really surprised, but what did he say? Would he hurt him if he said that it was him? Well he was short… he couldn’t run faster than Istas could if he wanted too but something told Istas that maybe he shouldn’t be worried. He shifted on his paws in an all too obviously guilty way. He didn’t want to keep the secret from him, after all he liked him right? He was having a hard time separating work from pleasure right now, but Renegade was a loner. He wasn’t affiliated with the angels even if he did look like them. ”Istas is her real name, and she’s not really a her.” He said sheepishly, ”Though in my defense most my family have them too! He blurted out before looking away and stepping back slightly. Why did he say these things, why was he such a coward? Why did he feel the need to defend himself with Renegade?

”I just… Wanted to check on you was all.” He stepped away again looking up at Renegade though afraid of what he would see in those vibrant red eyes. Anger? Embarrassment? Not many males he knew didn’t want to be caught fiddling around with other males. It made them mad and surely he was no different. He seemed like a proud guy, the last type that would really be interested in someone like Istas.

They never seem to catch my eye but I never wondered why
