Bright teal eyes were clossed in bliss and relaxation. Earth toned fur, consisting of a creme base coat and chocolate and russet markings remains comfortably warm in the Spring sun. Mid Summer heat is another heat all together, and for now, Rhae is content with her surroundings. Halcyon dozes just beside her large paws, taking comfort in their closeness and the pleasantness of the afternoon. Grayson, however, is romping away this way and that, testing his Mothers limits in just how far he can push her. The large wolf is a kind and loving Mother, but she is also firm when she needs to be. Her youngest son is young yet, but she has much tolerance and patience for him. Though she cannot see him with her eyes closed as such, she can still hear the sound of his paws against the earth nearby and she takes comfort it in. She does not take comfort, however, in the howl that haunts the still air. Sharp as a tack do teal eyes open, glancing first to Grayson to see if he was woken by the sound. If not, she would slip away silent and unnoticed, to send Grayson back to the den with his brother and to stay there, the sternness in her gaze and voice unfaltering. If the red headed boy had woken, he would recieve the same stern words as his brother to remain home. And then the Mother of Asteraia is off as fast as her large paws can carry her large frame, toward the den of the brothers that truly call Asteraia home. For while they were indeed a family all their own, Rhae did consider them part of her own and therefore hers to protect and keep. Particularly the females that the males had so chosen to mate with, for each had new children to bare into this world. She did not know yet what was such a threat, but the thick scent of blood gave her a sense of foreboding she did not like. The scene is soon to rush up to meet her gaze as she takes it all in with a sense of horror. Her first driven instinct is to tear the bear down, but her quickly searching gaze soon finds the darkest of the brothers with the mothers and little ones and she knows where her path lies. Massive paws carry her to them, where she looks them over and guides them away from the bloody battle scene, touching each and every one- children and mothers alike, simply to make sure all was well. She keeps herself closest to the side of where the dens lay, to put herself between them and danger at hand. Rhae is keen to soothe and to comfort, and so her voice does break the air but kept soft as to not draw attention. "All will be well and we shall all take care." She does her best to look upon each one, if only to catch anyones eye that might be watching her and in need of anything. The mother in her has curious but controlled tones then leaving her tongue. "Is everyone accounted for?" No one could, or would be left behind- and those that fought the bear, Rhae knew Asteraia would come to their aid. Haziel had given the call himself, and she knew her wolves would do their very best to bring the beast down.
