She didn’t know if her real purpose was to stay within Asteraia, but for now, it suited her and her needs. It wasn’t overly crowded, nor was it sparse. But at the same time, she hadn’t really felt welcomed with open arms. When she had first arrived, no one spoke to her, and while it was okay with her then, she still hadn’t spoken to anyone, even a simple hello, but she wasn’t about to say that stuff out loud. It was private and it would stay that way.
She hadn’t heard anything pertaining to him, good or bad. She simply recognized his scent, and it was curious. She wondered to herself if he had been to Glorall, mildly curious as to what the home of her litter’s father was like. She wouldn’t admit it, no, because Renai was a stubborn butt who would never do or say anything that would make herself vulnerable.
In the back of her mind, she wondered if she would have any help within Asteraia when the pups were born, or if she’d get stuck all alone. She didn’t know how the pack dynamics would come into play then, and she wasn’t sure what to think of the dynamics as they were now. He spoke, and she pushed all those thoughts into the back of her mind as she looked at him. “I think I was drawn into it in some way, for what, I’m not sure. But for now, it’s home…I’ve never had that before.” The last words were nearly whispered, not meaning to say them outloud, but it was true. She had never felt like she could call a place home, but Asteraia was home to her. It felt strange, but good.
