The thing with Viora didn't go that well, but Solitaire had let her know where he stood and wasn't going to feed into her delusions. If she needed to hate him, too, because he was family and hadn't been there, then so be it. Creatures often lashed out at those they knew would be more likely to forgive them later, and in this she was right. But that did not mean he would be a doormat in the process. If she ended up being hypocritical, then he would point it out to her, because although he would be there for her if she needed it, she did need to see where she was wrong. Blaming everyone else wasn't going to get her very far, but.. that wasn't something to think about now.
Right now he is interested in making sure Tristan got healed up properly -- or anyone else in the pack who needed the skills -- though this wasn't just a perfunctory thing, because he really did care, and would go out of his way to ensure that Tristan and those from the hunt were looked after. He was taking the idea of family and pack bonds seriously, because these things mattered to him. At least Tristan looks happy about his chosen path, and Solitaire wiggled a little under the words and the grin. As far as the log went, Solitaire had to chuckle. "It's for carrying around the plants and stuff. Easier to put them in the hollow part and drag it rather than going back and forth several times." He pointed out.
Yet while he speaks he was inspecting the wound, wondering if the infection would need a paste a few times or not. Wellm, only time would tell, he supposed. When Tristan asked if it would hurt, Solitaire frowned a little. "It might sting a bit, but for now I'll just use a paste on it and see if it draws out the infection. Hopefully it will, if not, we'll consider other options." He said evenly, going to his log to shuffle for the items for the paste. He grabbed out mint and yarrow leaves, lavender petals, and ginger root. Taking a deep breath, he begain to chew them into a paste of a sort, then went to apply it to Tristan's wound. After, he stood back. "So that should help with the inflammitory issues and draw out the infection." He said evenly.
