The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Just because things had been... rather uncomfortable towards the end with the female in the grotto, that did not mean that Solitaire wasn't going to keep checking up on her to see if she was doing better. Hopefully the herbs and such he had dropped off before for her had helped her heal, though Solitaire had returned to make sure. Nothing wrong with another check-up just in case it was needed. Infection could still be a problem, and he did not want to find out that infection had spread and made things worse because he hadn't looked back in on Malleah. His own personal discomfort on some of the conversation points last time would not keep him from helping out. That was not his way.

Which was why he had gotten a few herbs from his den stockpile to put into his hollow log for this outing itself. He had taken to keeping some stuff in it just in case he happened to wander across some other wandering wolf who needed help. After the ordeal with Malleah he had felt badly for not having everything on paw right then and there, and decided to remedy that from happening to him again. Next time, Solitaire would be prepared! And he was right now, as well. Everything looked good to go, and with that, he grabbed onto the branch of the log and started to pull it out of Glorall and towards the grotto. Hopefully Malleah was still around the area...

If she was not, then at least he could still say that he had tried, that he had gone looking for her where he had seen her last. His heart was in the right place, at least. That was what mattered, wasn't it? That he wanted to help her no matter his own discomfort? But she was just the joking sort, he figured. Nothing wrong with that, Solitaire just wasn't used to it. Not a big deal, and he had gotten over it. He kept that in mind when he saw the grotto up ahead, moving right along with his log towards the opening area where Malleah had been last. He set the log down before going in, however, and called out for her. He did not want to intrude upon her, and thought it would be good to let her know he was here.
