Inanna had been poking in and out, roaming around the pack lands. Anything interesting she would snatch in her little jaws and whisk it away to a hiding spot. It was almost something she had learned from her mother. Every time she had left the den different scents would linger on the woman’s golden coat. They fostered a curiosity in the little girl. The need to quench that thirst was overpowering in the little white body. After the butterfly contest, the pup had captured another one of the foul tasting insects and trotted back to her home of Glorall.
Once over the borderline of the beach pack she made a bee-line for her secret hiding spot. Slipping easily into a very small den she had found and created for herself she gingerly placed the corpse of the butterfly next to various other oddities she had found. Her most prized possessions was a clump of thorny sand burrs she had found, still on their mother plant. She had also found leaves that came in three, when licked they caused her tongue to swell most unpleasantly. Getting that back to her hidey hole had been an incredibly challenging task. Small curious rocks has also been collected and piled into a corner. Pleased with herself, she looked over her collection, her tail wagging behind her.
An ear twitched toward the entrance to her safe place and she growled low, warning whoever was at her door they were not to come in. Pebbles fell into the den, her childish growl deepened. A voice followed the falling stones and the white pup rushed out, tackling the male, hoping to pin him to the ground and stand on top of him, nose in his face and tail stretched out behind her. She was not aggressive, or dominant. Just awkwardly territorial and protective of her stash. Blue and violet eyes wide at the boy, her growling at stopped as she tried to adopt a look of forced innocence, which screamed her guilt.
“Nothing is here!” She proclaimed. “Really! I swear!” Stepping away, she moved just to the side, but not far enough away from the mouth of the den to give him a clear path to its depths. “I’m Inanna. What do you want?”
