aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

“Well sure there are, there are tons.” Oh. Sera hadn’t known that, but she wasn’t about to admit that in front of pompous little Vladimir. “They just aren’t as well known because they are girls and boys rule and girls drool.” He stuck his tongue out at her momentarily and she shot him a glare. Why did he have to be such a meanie? Of course, she just had to retort, no matter how lame it was, because she was Sera and the last word always had to be hers. “Well maybe I’ll just go tell your mother that, then we’ll see just who rules and who drools.” Her face scrunched up at him. At least Cas was there to keep his brother in check, nudging him with a “Jeez Vladimir, dont’ annoy-away the only friend we have!” Seraphina grinned at him, winking. She was harder to get rid of than this, he didn’t have to worry about that.

Vlad went on about the girl angels that he knew, none of which Sera did. Her knowledge of this sort of stuff was very limited, even if she pretended to know. She looked sideways, not wanting to tell him that and not wanting to say that Seraphiel wasn’t a girl angel, but it was the only one that she could think of because it had her name. The little firebird could feel a change as Vlad scuffed the ground, sniffing hard. Oh brother. “I’ll be Armaita then. She seems like the best one.” Hopefully that would make him happy enough that they could get along better than now. If she was to stay here then she wanted to get along with her friends, not just tolerate them. It wasn’t her fault Mr. Know-it-all was making that difficult.

“Now, I assume you know all about the angels and demons and gods and goddesses right? Because everyone is supposed to learn that stuff, and we sure did learn that stuff.” Actually, she hadn’t learned that stuff, but Seraphina’s mouth remained shut and she nodded. There was no satisfaction in telling Vladimir that she didn’t know something that supposedly everyone else did. She hadn’t exactly had the chance to learn though, had she? It wasn’t the top of the agenda for the King and Queen. The princess needn’t have worried as it turned out. The prince filled her in anyway. “Anyway, we need to decide what to steal from the demons. See, they take stuff from good people all the time, like their love,” How did they steal love? It wasn’t like a physical object that they could hold. Vlad plowed right ahead and Sera was brought back from her questioning. “or their treasure or their secrets and hide is so people aren’t happy any more. We become heroes and take it back!” He smiled at her. Sera inwardly grinned when he couldn’t answer her question, feeling ever so slightly triumphant. “Um.. Well… they don’t catch us. Ever. We always win. So… uh…” The question seamlessly transferred to Castiel, who was able to answer it.

“Well, we haven’t had such bad luck befall us yet, but I can almost guarantee that if they do we shall never escape their grips! But let’s not contemplate what hasn’t happened until it does; we haven’t got much time! I can hear them, they’re coming for us!” He ran both Sera and Vlad with a burst of speed. “C’mon! Don’t just sit there!” Sera popped her head up quickly, scanning the area for demons, before running after him. Though she was able to keep up with Cas and his brother now since all three of them were similar sized, it wouldn’t be too long before they outgrew her. Both because they were boys and because their breed was simply larger than hers. Her fuzzball look too would vanish, like theirs, leaving behind the sleek, coppery coat all Ethiopians shared. Sera would never gain the lean, but powerful musculature of her sister. No, hers would be slight and dainty, but by no means fragile. For now however, this did not even cross her mind. Her only focus now was to escape the dastardly demons.

“Where do we go?” Castiel asked when the pair had caught up with him. Sera shrugged, not knowing the territory well enough to have any sense of direction. She instead turned to Vlad, momentarily forgetting that she didn’t like him. “What do you think Vlad? You know this area better than me.”
