GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

Just as he had promised the Savanna stallion, Garmr had returned to Luthien. The giant, young stallion had debated going back to torment the family again, but curiosity of the other lands drew him away. The sabino found himself trailing along in the tall grasses of a sweeping land. His eyes able to see what felt like forever into the distance. It had made it easy to spot the herd residing in the Prairie as he would later find out it was called. Garmr wasted no time sizing up the pale king, issuing a challenge he knew he would lose, and relished in the short time of conflict they shared before being forced to retreat.

The Lagoon brute had no intentions of leaving the island just yet. He thought it might offer more entertainment before he returned home. Thankfully he’d had the patience to search for said entertainment, because he eventually found the lone mare. Her grey figure looked haunting on the edge of the shore, her eyes cast out across the waves. She didn’t seem to notice him, and it gave Garmr a moment to decide what to do. Drive her into the waves with snapping jaws and striking hooves? His heart fluttered in delight and excitement at the thought. But Garmr knew he had to broaden his skills, so as he walked forward, he decided to try a new tactic.

“She gives mercy, by being merciless.” Garmr said, his gruff voice low as he stopped a few strides away from the mare. His dark green eyes peering at her from beneath his curtain of lighter forelock. “You should give in to her call.” he encouraged, nodding his head towards the waves. “I can go with you, if you’re afraid?”
