Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

He'd done it again - crept away once Vasyenka had closed his eyes and begun breathing deeply, evenly. He wasn't to know that Vasy never slept long in those times when he crept away, for Poseidon himself was what kept the darkness from his brother's sleep. But the mostly deaf wolf did know that Vasyenka was aware of many of his little explorations, and wasn't happy about them. He just didn't want Po to get into trouble, or danger, without having someone to cover his back. Poseidon loved him for that, but Vasyenka couldn't understand. By having more friends, Po would have more wolves looking out for him, right? But he had to go out and make friends first (and this was a hard thing to do when Vasy was with him, because Vasy liked it best when they just stuck to themselves).

He hadn't made many new friends yet, but Poseidon was ever hopeful. He just had to be nice, and then others would be nice back, wouldn't they? Poseidon believed this, because he was bright and warm and didn't know how else to be. Upon picking up the scent of a group of wolves nearby, Poseidon approached quickly, his eyes and nose more than making up for what his ears couldn't tell him. He lingered on the edge for a moment, scanning the gathering quickly. Upon catching sight of a familiar face, he wipped and wriggled with gladness before approaching. "Aoibhe!" Surely Vasyenka couldn't be mad at him this time. After all, Aoibhe was his friend, and she would help him, if he needed help.
