At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Leila

___________________________________________________________________________

The fiery gazers of the young adult followed the laugh that exhilarated the male’s voice, she saw the smile brighten up his features, a smile from her own kissers was returned. “Well I thank you for that, though I wouldn’t have minded too much – I would have just returned the gesture,” she replied with a smirk and an amused glint in her eye. She enjoyed the way his lyrics flowed; they were shrouded with wisdom and were phrased in such a way that she found herself questioning her company with him. Was she too young and unknowledgeable? She understood that it would be rude to not stay for a little while; Leila found that the brute did not mind talking to him so she would not return to her own company just yet. “I must compliment you – yet again, on your choice of words.” Leila flattered him, a smile widening her kissers. She shook her pelt as the feeling of an itch wormed itself into his feelings. Her nose wriggled as a breeze altered the pelt of the young lady. Her gaze remained undeterred, always focused on the male in front of her. The brown lobes swivelled to meet the reply of his following words.

She smiled gently at the words of his description – she was surprised that he would spend so much time explaining the different sceneries in the different seasons. “I am positive it will always be always beautiful although I plan to stick around Blossom Forest and I shall see for myself, won’t I?” She began, pausing thoughtfully before she carried on, “perhaps I shall make regular visits to this place, it appears to have many interesting features and the wolves aren’t too bad looking either.” Leila laughed gently, a smirk forming on her maw – it appeared to her that it was incredibly difficult to shrug the smile off. She was quite happy in the presence of her friend. Her fiery gazes focused on his icy stare, she shuddered feeling as though his stare penetrated deep into his soul. His eyes were rather exquisite; and she could not help but to stare… Managing to drag her gaze away Leila listened intently on the answer to the question of pack lands. Leila’s ears turned to meet his monologue; prepared for the long speech that was bound to come although she did not mind… It was pleasant to hear another voice of a living wolf that was not her own.

He explained that his own pack land was a kingdom with the title of Aurora Borealis although it was not owned by anyone – they had no alpha which ultimately would cause the destruction of a once strong pack. This thought caused a frown to appear on Leila’s features but it was soon replaced by a smile as he shared his hopes for a new alpha. “Well, I believe that someday your pack will rise again, even if it means a difficult decision. Could you not volunteer temporarily or permanently? You seem wise and I am sure you would make a very strong leader indeed.” She said with a flirtatious emphasis on the last few words with a smile larger than ever. Her ears flickered to greet welcomingly the next following lyrics: information of the different packs… Leila smiled – he was defiantly helpful. After his speech Leila thought for a few moments: what to say? “Well, I am not interested in pack life just yet although perhaps when I have discovered more friendships and explored the different terrains this land has to offer I shall make ties in Aurora Borealis… At least there I know I will have a friendly face to look forward to.” She informed him.

Leila enquired Kalgalath on his diversions and comforts – he shared to her the simplicities of life; basking in the sunlight with friends. She smiled but attempted to stifle laughter as he opened one eye – how amusing he appeared! As he spoke it became apparent that they had things in common. “Me and you are alike then, Kalgalath. I too enjoy adventuring perhaps we can engage ourselves in exploration someday.” She suggested with an open mind, noticing his relaxed lay down posture Leila suddenly felt isolated so she too slid down to her belly. She lowered her head to her right front limb, relaxed and feeling secured in the safety of a new found friend. A slight breeze sent quivers of movement rippling down her spine. But nothing drastic for the world was in their favour today, the gentle melodies of birds engulfed the wolves and the scents of nature soothed even the most nervous of creatures. It was especially so for wolves for this was their sanctuary; their home where ties lay made and waiting to be created. There was always a place in Blossom Forest.
