Long, crème pillars made an intricate dance across the land. The movements of the slender frame were measured, graceful. Leisurely she went, as if without a care in the world. The claimer of this fine, white body went by the name of Genisys. Those who knew her well gave her the shortened name of Gen. It was rare that she would hear that name though. In fact, it was 3 years ago since anyone had called her that. Since then, she had been a nomad, a beautiful ghost roaming Blossom. So many things she has seen. So many obstacles she has overcome. Her clean head was held high, her shoulders relaxed. The walk she walked was of a grown fae who has met the world head on and came out victorious. She has done everything there is to do, seen everything, been everywhere. There was one thing she hasn’t done and she was attempting to do that now. It had been so long since she has talked aloud.
Sure, she has seen others, nomads like her, couples, but there was always a mere nod and then they moved on. Every once in a while she would come across a nomadic brute that would attempt to ‘steal her heart’ but she was too strong and wise to fall for their tricks. One night in a den and then nothing was not her idea of partnership. She steers clear of soldiers now. She didn’t fear them, she was just wary of their ways. Genisys was smiling now, realizing that this would be another adventure, maybe her final one. She was strong, stubborn and blunt, yet open minded, adventuress and curious to everything. She wanted to experience everything and anything. Joining a pack was next on her list. For months she traveled along each pack border, pausing to watch silently and choose wisely. So far, the only one that appealed to her was this one. There was just something about this one that kept her coming back to the border. This time, she was going to stay until noticed though. No longer would she wander around like a ghost, unseen, unheard. She would be a part of something bigger than that. If they were to refuse her, she wouldn’t mind. She had survived this long alone, she could survive a little while longer.
Bright rays of light streamed through the white puffs above, warming the earth she strolled upon. Even with the light drizzle saturating her pearl self, she felt warm. Emerald stargazers flit everywhere, taking in every detail, every tiny characteristic of the land. There is a slight breeze, causing the leaves in the trees to mimic her dance. The drizzle only landed in certain spots. In one spot, it landed on a cluster of flowers. Through the curse of being color blind, she still found beauty. There is a dying flower in the midst of the band of flowers. Death, is only the beginning… Her brother’s words rang in her ears and yet, he was not here. He hadn’t been seen in 3 years since the battle. The light colored femme’s dance haltered and she paused in her journey. How long had she been searching for her twin and yet, nothing. He had just disappeared; fell off the face of the earth…
A scent reached her nares, an all too familiar scent indeed. Exodus? Yes, it was him. She was sure of it now. As she neared the borders she couldn’t feel more great, more free. She had found him, in all of the places she had been searching she found him here, in pack territory. A light, bubbly laugh escaped her pale kissers and she picked up the pace, happiness flowing in and around her ghost like bodice. The apparition floated throughout the land, weaving and turning until she reached the borders.
The rain had stopped and already her pelt was drying. She couldn’t even feel it anymore for the happiness within her caused her body to grow numb. Small, snowy paws glide across the ground, her destination known and her journey almost complete. The aroma of wolves entered her nares along with Exodus’ and her heart raced. The presence of the rain still lingered, causing every scent to become stronger in her nostrils. Amazing how water, which has no scent, has the ability to heighten all other smells. Her steps slowed as she neared the border. Smiling, Genisys lowered herself on to her haunches, curling her thick, flowing tassel around her slender pillars. There, her jade gems flashing about as she observed quietly, is where a pack member would eventually find her. There is where her entire life may change.
