Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I couldn't be more proud of my brother for all he has done for me and the pack since his arrival. I catch the smell of Viora on his coat and i wrinkle my nose a little, wondering how that went but afraid to ask. I just hope she didn't treat him the same way she treats me. Solitaire had nothing to with mom's death, of course, so she shouldn't have a reason to be mean to him unless she's just feeling extra bitter or something. If it's like Solitaire said though and she's just acting this way to protect herself from really grieving then perhaps she would lash out at everyone and anyone. It makes me feel bad for her but I don't know how to get through to her. Maybe Solitaire would have better luck? Meanwhile he seems more interested in the gash on my flank. He smiles as I arrive and my tail wags, glad to know someone looks forward to seeing me. At least I know I can count on Solitaire to get along with. He announces to me that he's taken up healing and I grin at him in pride.

"Congratulations! I bet you'll be great at it.But um...what's that have to do with a log?" I can't help my curiosity, looking back at the log with a puzzled expression. I stand still as he circles around to better look at my wound, trying to be extra still so he can see whatever it is he's looking for. I slowly turn my head to look at him, curious as to what a healer actually looks for and then I hear him say something about infection. I may not know a lot about healing but I do know that infection is not a good thing. I scowl and cringe at the word. "You really think so? If you think it'll help, then I guess you can. Will it hurt?" I can't help but ask even though I'm aware I may not want to know the answer.
