The grotto was filled with tunnels and caves, and possibly places for denning. This was something she knew she had to find before the impending Winter, but she was not sure where the best spot might be. At least she had time to browse around, and there was a chance where she might also debate on a pack. If such an offer was extended to her, of course. She had little interest in going up to any which one without invitation, because she knew the laws quite well, and had no interest in causing problems so soon. Moladion was not known for the most friendly of creatures. Not that Lex was one of those either..
She doesn't know what she considers herself, exactly. What label she would put on herself, except that she was a survivor and she would continue to be. She had raised her only litter to be strong, to test each other and finally to find out which of them was the strongest, the one that would get to survive and go on. Raptor had been that pup, and Lex felt proud of the younger female. She also put faith in Raptor, and counted on her daughter now. They were a hunting pair, and often not far from each other. It had become common-place that they would be close but just out of sight of each other.
It was this way now, she knows, and she isn't concerned about it. Searching the grotto was a bit of a task since she had not been here in years, but if she wanted the best den, she had to put forth the effort to finding it. That was what she was doing in the maze of tunnels when she heard the sound. It made her wary -- as any stranger would -- and she paused to listen further, sniffing the air before starting off towards where the sound had come from. She spots the very odd looking male up ahead (he was missing parts!), and some paces away a female that was inching away from him interesting. She pauses, glancing around to see if perhaps Raptor would arrive at the sound of the male's call.
