Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I don't get it. What's so fun about chasing stupid butterflies around a field? Samia sure seemed to get a lot of entertainment out of it but I was left puzzled. I could easily crush one with my paw but I bet that would just make her cry like she does when I pounce on a bug in our den so I hold back, not wanting to ruin her day. She seems to be having a lot of fun. Too bad, I'm not.

After some time watching, I find myself moving back toward the borders of Glorall, figuring I might find something more worth my time within my own pack lands rather than out and about. As long as I don't get too close to the river, that is. Last time my sister and I were running along the river, she tripped and fell in my path and I actually landed in the water! Needless to say, it was a rather traumatic experience and I'd like to not repeat that in the future. Of course I think I'm more disappointed that I didn't get to pounce on that big squirrel looking thing with the flat tail by the big wooden thing. That thing looked fun!

Oh well, all in good time. As I cross the borders, I find myself looking around, my tail already wagging as I ponder on what to get into next. It's not so fun to go on adventures by myself but it's not like I'm about to head back to the den and wait for mom to tell me more stories. Sure, I love her stories, but today I'm feeling restless. I need something to do! I find myself exploring the other dens, rolling around rocks in front of the door just to see if they notice. Take that, strangers! I chuckle to myself as I roll a rather large boulder in front of another den. That one get me out of breath.

I'm still panting by the time I reach the fourth or fifth den. I've lost count by this time. I start to roll some smaller pebbles first, just until I get my breath back, when suddenly I hear a noise. I look up, eyes blinking into the darkness of the den as my ears flicker uncertainly. "Hello? Anyone there?" I call out.
