Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Worry overwhelmed all of her other senses. It was like intuition shared between twins or the instant knowledge that a mother could feel when harm befell on of her pups. Talien knew. Something was wrong. She did not know what... but she knew something was wrong with Thor and that she must find him and though she was not sure how, she knew that she must fix it or in the very least try to anyway.

The beach of the Glorall pack is far different from the forests of Taviora that nestled beneath the shadow of the mountain range. Where once Talien imagined the beach packland was nothing but a flat expanse bordered by the sea... she soon found out had its own hidden alcoves and rocky outcroppings where one might hide or find solace in solitude.

Frustration was beginning to overwhelm her now as no matter what direction she turns, the scent of Thor neither strengthens nor wanes. Damn the wetness of the waters! Talien was determined however, if she had to tear all of Glorall apart and even investigate beneath the ocean's constantly rolling surface she would find her imprint.

But luck was with her... that or his own soul caught sense of her nearness for it did not take long for the sound of his soft whimper to reach her ears. Immediately her tense form spins around, raven tipped sonars alert fixates upon him. Startling silver blue eyes examine him, notice the lack of luster to his onyx coat and the listlessness and sorrow that clouds his normally brilliant green visionfield. She cannot even muster a wag of her tail as he moves towards her. Confusion flickers through her eyes as he speaks, his voice cracking with unshed tears. Gone? Who was gone?

Then it hit her. Inanna.

She had wondered why the pale woman's scent seemed to have faded from his skin... from the very fabric of Glorall itself. Inanna was gone.

All at once, saddness and her own tears tug at her heart as she moves forward instinctively and wraps the obsidian male in a warm embrace, pulling him close to her and draping her neck protectively over his own, shielding the world from his vulnerability and sorrow. "Thor..." she whispers, letting his name hang between them, drifting off on the ocean breeze for lack of words to say. What could she say? There was nothing that would make it better... nothing that she could do to heal the wounds that his mates sudden absence had caused. Apart of her knew that pain... knew of the pain of losing one's heart.... but then again she did not. Dexter's heart still beat... his scent was still strong in Taviora... but his heart beat for another. None the less, it was a reassurance to Talien... one that she could not share with Thor. She breathe into him, willing the strength of endurance that made her to fight everyday be somehow transferred to him. Wishing in that moment that she had a way to take his pain from him but knowing that she could not. It was a battle that not even imprints could share. "I am so sorry Thor." she whispers, licking his ear in reassurance, ignoring the salty taste of his fur. It was not a time for jokes. Not now.

She takes a step back, silver blue eyes searching his own. "She loved you deeply." she murmurs, hoping that the words might offer some semblance of condolence for the black wolf. Though she had only met the silver girl one time, it was plainly written upon her face and in her heart how much Inanna had loved and adored her mate. He meant the world to her. Whatever happened... where ever she went... it must have been something strong to have taken her away from him... away from their son. Even Talien knew the pull of a mother's heart and despite the heartache being near Dexter constantly caused for her, she could not dare to venture from her children for a long period of time. What would possibly have caused Inanna to leave them when she had everything. She had the love of the wolf she had wanted from puphood... she had a hansom son... a pack that relied upon her alone for healing and guidance.... what could have possibly possessed her to seek something.. anything else? Talien was not sure she would ever be able to understand the motives... and part of her wanted to go charging off into the wild to hunt Inanna down and bring her back, chewing her out the entire time... but even she knew that this would not anything but more harm than good.

The only thing she could do right now was to be there for her sweet imprint who was there for her when she needed him. An imprint that she adored moreso than her own brother.
