Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Standing in the Lagoon, Nahawi slowly grazed at the hidden dead grasses left by winters chill. His long winter coat held the muck and mire from the Lagoon, coating him in its horrendous scent. His ears flicked back and forth as his teeth picked at the small grass he could find. Soon he would be forced to prowl under the water, pulling at the grasses and other things that they all walked on when roaming this marshy home. He was not ready for that day, but he knew it was coming with winter at its peak.

Reaching to grab a longer strand, Nahawi was about to bite down on it when a voice entered his ears. Flicking the dark marked tips up, Nahawi raised his white marked face and scanned the marsh around him. His travel would not be silent, but soon enough he was walking over the rugged ground that rose and fell with the odd currents that made it a lagoon. He wondered who had called for him and why, but he would not leave them alone for long as that was not who he was as a creature.

Pulling his body from shoulder deep water, the mud clad stallion soon enough began to walk up the faint dry part with his head dipping to that of this new equine. The silver, black, and white of this hors had Nahawi faintly tilting his head, not understanding where all of these horses with certain genetics came from. He had seen many of the same hue, but he had never asked about them. So many horses of the same color made him question just how far the apple fell from the original tree on these islands.

“You called for me.” He spoke finally, his body stopping a ways away with his muscled form seeming to be relaxed, as if his first instinct was not to fight the ones he came across. “My name is Nahawi, which I gather you already know.” Nahawi did not know how unless others had heard of him releasing the trinkets and offspring. It was mostly Voyagers idea, to let others know the new Boss was not as bad as the rest. Yet, he never expected it to reach the islands at such a fast pace. “May I know what brought you here?” Nahawi was curious about the reason. He would not force this horse out, but he really hoped this stallion did not have the skewed sight on the world like Psychedelic had left with everyone else before him.
