Good for the few who feel the need to go back and spend the rest of their lives being a dry 'alcoholic'; I choose to forget about booze except when I'm at the bar picking up a food order.

I found AA just like a small neighborhood church...clickish, unique only in small ways and where everybody knows your name and they tell each other that cures never happen so they must keep coming back. Just like church. Most people don't stay long...sadly, most leave without sobriety because these little churches don't send you to the science. The mental health people have a whole different way of dealing with it.

Religious people tend to see science as competition for The Word. I think that's why so many of them don't vax.
