At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Terrel found himself strolling carelessly away from main pack grounds – he was closer and closer to the border without comprehending it. He was lost in thoughts but they were not disturbing nor were it unfortunate memories for Terrel in a contented mood. He had just spent time with the most important wolf in his life; Channing his mother. Before he had greeted her yesterday, Terrel had been clouded with a miserable sense. He had not known what had come of his mother for she had seemed to avoid the pack lands. She had been fine though, which Terrel had felt much better in knowing. He had given her strength and comfort that no one else could have supplied. But like many brutes his age, he had gotten bored of remaining in the pack all day, every day. So he was here no, about to cross the border without even knowing it.
When the scents of his pack members suddenly ceased, Terrel lifted his head – he had passed the border… He was alone. Terrel turned to retreat back into the pack before coming to a halt. No, he needed to live his life. He would not let ‘him’ win. So his coloured body turned and ventured into the opposite direction.

He was not sure where he was going; he had no route and no ambition. But for some reason he yearned for the place he had first encountered Channing. Staircase falls; and at this place he wasn’t remotely interested in meeting anyone but if he did meet someone who wasn’t sinful or just vile company. He knew he always had a home to return to. He had his mother, he had Mae as a friend and well that was it but it was enough for him, though he would have appreciated more friends – it just wasn’t essential right now.

His limbs touched the ground once more and then he had reached his destination. A smile creased his maw – it was exactly how it had always been. Terrel moved over to the water and reached down to quench his first. Ah, how pleasant it was to drink from the purest water in Blossom Forest. He contently rested by the river with his paw dipping casually into the water. Water was his favourite place to rest, wherever he went. Sorrow flowed from him and was carried away by the gentle ripples of the stream.
Rocks of all shapes dug into his bodice causing mild and uncomfortable pain, he shifted slightly to be greeted with yet more rocks. Grumbling in frustration, Terrel gave up – this place was covered in rocks and he could not be bothered to search a comfy place to rest. A familiar realisation surrounded the brute; this was the exact place that Channing had introduced herself. He smiled; the best decision he made was to be her son. He knew nothing could bring his mood down now but he was extremely cautious about who was where and what their personality seemed like.

A bird floated down to the ground over on the other side of the stream and Terrel’s gazers followed it intently. Predator eyes were just curious eyes as of now though the bird did not see it this way and was soon far away from Terrel. Chuckling, the many coloured brujo rested his head on his front left limb.
