At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

OOC: no worries :D

Kalgalath’s icy gaze remained focused on the fae, pleased by the large smile that lay upon her maw. For a moment there I thought you were leaving! And then the fae proceeded to wink at him. A laugh was released from his maw, and an easy smile followed. “Of course I was not leaving, it would have been extremely impolite for me to do so. I merely did not wish to get you soaked when I shook myself dry.” The fae then continued with her playful banter, asking if he was a knight, following with another wink and a laugh. The brute found that he really enjoyed the sound of her laugh. It was pleasant and flirtatious, and Kalgalath was indeed glad that he had had the chance to meet her. It seemed that fate had meant him to come here to get, in order for him to have the opportunity to acquaint himself with Leila.

The fae then continued her monologue, commenting first on the beauty of Staircase Falls and then inquiring as to which pack he belonged to. “Aye, Leila, it is especially beautiful in the fall, although I enjoy it in all seasons. In the summer though, the waters are not quite as cold… it is much easier to enjoy them as opposed to the frigid chill that the waters are right now. In the fall, the leaves change color and it becomes picturesque. In the winter, the falls freeze over, and it looks like an icy wonderland. And springtime, when life is struggling to push through the thawing topsoil, well that is just a thrilling sight.” the brute paused in his response, wondering if his description of the falls had been too detailed, or if it had not, in fact, been detailed enough. The brute looked around, basking in the natural beauty around him… the fae would see. She would see for herself, if she continued to resign in Blossom Forest, how the seasons acted upon the terras. His light blue orbs shifted back to the lupine beauty before him and it seemed that she belonged in this place, for she matched the natural exquisiteness that surrounded them.

As to which pack I belong to, it is called Aurora Borealis. It is a nice terra, although as of right now we are regretfully alpha-less. The Alphess Sin died after winning a battle defending her title and the pack. We have all been in mourning for a few months since her death, but hopefully we will have a new leader soon. ”The brute paused thoughtfully, and then decided to tell her of the other packs as well. After all, one pack wasn’t necessarily the best fit for everyone. “But there are many packs that lie within Blossom Forest. This is my second time living in Blossom Forest… the first time I was in Munashii Gekko, although from what I have heard, it is now run by a bloodthirsty lord. There is also Abendrot and Malignant Felicity, although I would suggest you do not even travel near those two, unless you have a darker demeanor than the one that you have shown to me. Aside from that, there is Spring Grounds, Bright Moon, Saw Tooth, Cold summers, Andere Seite, and Moondown Shadows, although I will admit that I have not had much contact with most of those terras. I have heard good things about Saw Tooth, Spring Grounds, and Bright Moon, that they are run by good and fair Alphas.” Kalgalath did want to mislead the fae and feed her false information, so he kept his words about the other packs short.

He watched as the fae shifted her weight. Although he did not know Leila well, it seemed to him that she was relaxed in his presence. The brute closed his eyes, taking in the scents and sounds that the fae was also enjoying. The brute lowered his weight onto the ground and stretched out. There was no reason to not enjoy the warmth of the sun fully. “I enjoy this – company of friends and napping in the sunlight.” The brute half opened one eye, glancing at the fae. “I enjoy hunting in Prey Plateau and exploring the secrets of Blossom Forest… there are many places other than here that are beautiful in Blossom Forest.” The brute shut his eye again and fully stretched out, noting that his coat was almost fully dried.
