Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Death Makes Angels of Us All
IP: 173.74.237.146

death makes angels of us all and gives us wings
where we had shoulders smooth as ravens claws.

I was named after a creature that preyed on the Dead. I was the shadow behind Death. It was in my nature to be among dead things. The moment I was born I was surrounded by Death. I could not stop for Death, Fate had given me the opportunity to stay alive, but Death kindly stopped for me. He did not try to steal me away from Mother. Mother and Death had some sort of unholy bond and it was something that was slowly being given to me. Mother bathed me with the dead prey causing its blood to wash over me, anointing me with the sticky copper crimson and the stench of a rotten carcass. Death could become beautiful over time and it wasn’t necessary something ugly and abhorrent. I have always been a girl of solitude and perhaps that is why Death followed. I killed when I could providing the carcass to others, a gift perhaps, showing others that I was quite capable of ending a life, but also helping another life continue on. I think maybe Death is content with me and that is why he does not take me away.

I am moving silently through the snow moving carefully towards Diveen. I know as a wolf of Iromar I really shouldn’t tread there, especially since I got attacked by Tobias last time, but I wanted to at least go back. I needed to go back. I was hoping to speak to their healer or their Alpha. I wanted to make sure I didn’t have a debt to pay, and if I did, I wanted it paid off in full. If any of the others were aware of such things then I would surely be in trouble…well trouble is an easy way of putting it. If the others found out then I think Death will have no choice but to visit with me and take me…somewhere. Even though it is cold outside my fur and body heat is keeping me warm, a bit too warm, and so I head towards the river. Looking around for any signs of danger I cautiously move towards the bank finding an opening and I take my drink. As soon as I get my fill I lick my ebony muzzle and move my form towards Diveen. As I move up the stream along the banks I eventually catch the familiar scent of Death, but its odor has a different taste to it. As I press on forward my violet eyes notice the small group surrounding some sort of dead animal that was lying in the river. Perplexed I carefully tread towards the group, a patch of my fur along my neck and shoulder carried the mark of Tobias’ teeth, a reminder that not all wolves are…friendly. Managing to only be close enough to listen to their conversation, I rest on my haunches and watch silently. Perhaps I can gather more intel to tell Andras. Perhaps going to Diveen today was a very good idea.
