The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Aldonza was once more roaming away from Spirane -- and she had been doing that a lot lately -- in hopes to find something of interest. She had taken ample time to groom herself to perfection before she had left; not allowing even one hair out of place. She would be proper and prim and graceful as if her life depended on it. And in her mind, it did. She had to be seen as a beauty, to be noticed for just how well she was taking care of herself and how interesting she looked. The gradient of colors was something she was counting on to catch the eye of future suitors, and she would make the most of what she had.

She had been practising her movement, needing to be both graceful and perfectly elegant in any way her actions presented themselves. Of course for all of this she was no hunter for worry that it would mar her furs or skin, but while in such a large pack that didn't bother her too much. She was young enough that she could probably get away with never actually making a hit on prey animals, even if she were sent out on a hunt. She could take up a spot behind the rest and hope that the others did a well enough job. This was not her being lazy though! This was her needing to keep her good looks! Which yes, made her vain.

Aldonza was careful to judge each and every step she took, as well as how she held herself when she walked towards the grotto. When she heard the call, she nearly forgot herself for a moment when the curiousity over-ran her. Her youth could sometimes get in the way of her goals, but she quickly realized that she might need to clean up a bit before greeting anyone at all. It was good that she reminded herself of this, for there was a twin stuck in her furs, and some had been out of place. Fixing it all, Aldonza gave herself a look over, deemed it fitting to be seen, and started off again. Eventually, she spotted a very strange looking wolf, and started to shy away again..
